Scratch FF4 Advance off my list. Just beat it.

A bunch of bosses (especially the Elemental Lords) seem easier than I remember, the final battle doesn't seem quite as impressive-looking, and the timing of the ending music and events is a bit off (it stops short of finishing Final Fantasy, for example). But the extras (music player!) and upped graphics/sound don't make this as easy a decision deciding between FF4 Advance and FF4 Chronicles as FFI&II Advance vs FF Origins was (Advance crashed and burned). I think in this case I'll be keeping both.

Armored Core
Armored Core 3
Final Fantasy 8
Final Fantasy 9
Final Fantasy 10
Final Fantasy Tactics
Megaman Legends
Diddy Kong Racing
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
King Kong

Well, there are definately more, (I have lots of games, and very rarely beat them) but I can't think of any right now.

Final Fantasy 9. I never could get into that.
Final Fantasy 6. Plan on starting it.
Final Fantasy 2 (Japan). I probably won't get motiviated enough to beat this one, because the level system sucks.

Because every game needs an optional boss or two. And Culex definately falls under the "Optional boss that's more powerful than the final boss" category.

Im wondering if i should rebeat ff7, the first time i played it i went through the story line quick and never replayed it, The story line didn't seem all that great to me at the time, does anyone know if its better if you take your time and do all the side quests?

I only went on a few subquests (most notably the Wutai subquests, save for the flyer one), yet I still enjoyed it somewhat. But you're missing out if you simply rush through a game as fast as you can.

Okay, I beat Mario & Luigi 2 for the first time.

Hmm, the game is about the same length as the first Mario & Luigi (about 17 hours, I beat the first in 15 or 16), and yet it seemed to last a lot longer than that. Perhaps it's because at one point I had to deal with having to go through five very large monster-filled areas in a row. Indeed, the areas are pretty large in this game, and you'll frequently have to go through two of these in a row before getting another chance to stay at the castle. The story was interesting, though. Definately got me wanting to play more to find out what happens next. The music is good, but the battle theme isn't near as catchy as it was in M&L1, and the final boss music doesn't sound very final-battley. The game is pretty challenging, as if you don't have the timings and patters of enemies figured out, you're in for quite a beating. Indeed, I have lost a few times. Overall I'd rank it about the same as M&L1. A 7/10.

Suikoden Tactics.

I've pretty much halted all game playing ouside of working on the RM project. I'll pick back up once we make decent progress... and after there's a PS3 within my grasp.

Star Ocean Till end of time (see DQ7)
Dark Cloud (lost interest thanks to Arc the Lad ToS)
F Zero GX (could never that stupid woman on hard)
FF7 (Several Memory card problems led me to restart it... 3 times!)
Arc the Lad (still at beginning)
FFX (Left it at first blitzball game, but I want play it again... someday)
Suikoden 3 (Never finished the final flame)
Viewtiful Joe (Too hard for me :cry )

rebeat?
Suikoden 1,2,5 (Just want to rebeat them)
Skies of Arcadia (ditto)

Games I own that I need to beat:

R-Type: Final
(I was so close to the end when my memory card corrupted on me)
King's Field: The Ancient City
(taking my time with it and love it.)
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
(stuck at the last stage. Haven't played it in over a year now.)
Marvel Nemesis The Rise of the Imperfects
(not that great anyway, so who cares?)

... Truly, the only game I own that I still have yet to beat even once, one that I feel as though I have to get out of the way before my life can be complete is ... Star Ocean 3.

(Have owned this game for over a year and a half, and I *still* haven't gotten any farther than about halfway through! I wonder what's preventing me from really trying to make time for it? Fear of the unknown, maybe ....?)

Wow, you've got quite a long list of games to beat, it seems, Draygone.

Hey, out of curiosity, since you mentioned you were trying to get through Chrono Cross, how are you liking it? Are you able to understand the storyline any more than I am (and probably everyone else here), I hope?

And to *everyone* out there, never forget that *very* few RPG's can ever hope to be more legendary than Chrono Trigger!

Well I haven't started it yet, still want to play through crono trigger, which I also haven't started. Currently I'm playing through FF6, and Pokemon Fire Red (since I own Red and Silver figured I check out this one, and I don't care what anyone says it's a pretty well designed game, the story not so much, but it's more about gameplay). I also started Zelda:OOT, though honestly I haven't been playing games too much lately, not really sure why. But when I do start it I'll let you know what I think of it (probably be in a few months). Also my friend gave me a guide and I will be living with him soon, so I'm sure he'll fill in the blanks for me as I play through it.

So I guess that adds a few more to my list

Pokemon - Fire Red.
Resident Evil (GC) [got tired of it as well]
PsiOps (maybe, it's too hard, and not all that fun)

Yeah, I hear you on the part about sometimes just not having the time (and sometimes even the interest) to be the gamer that we were all born to be. I was mainly asking that question about Chrono Cross because I really had a hard time understanding who was on who's side and things like that, because its storyline was so surprisingly complex. Still, it was a very good game, so I hope you'll be able to get a chance to play through it when you can. I'm also glad to know that I am apparently not the only person in the world who's only just now played, or currently playing, through Zelda: OOT for the first time. Probably one of only few good games that were ever made for the N64.
