I agree on the price. While Sony put advanced technology into their console (resulting in the console's high price), Nintendo went and put advanced technology into their controllers (resulting in the controller's high price). It's understandable in Nintendo's case, since there's pretty neat workings in their controller (detection in 3D space, a mike, rumble support, and I think there was one other feature I forget). All Sony did to make their system expensive was make the graphics ahead of their time and include expensive features that I myself don't intend to use.

Definately gonna be a while before I'll be able to have 4-player sessions on the Wii, though. Not that having multiplayer sessions is a frequent occurance with me in the first place, 'cause it isn't. But still, getting the Wii at Christmas, people are gonna be interested there and then.

You know what's going to happen right?

People who all own Wii's are going to go to other people's house who own Wii's and bring their wii-motes from home to play. Annoying? yes... But a smart idea... very yes.

... Although, I do admit that the PS3's starting price does seem a bit steep. Perhaps gamers really will wait around for a while till the price drops and in the so doing end up suckered into purchasing a Wii. *sigh*

Actually, I have to disagree... as much as I don't want too.

Since the US is only getting 40000 units on realease, they will without a doubt, sell out.

But so will the Wii... who gets a crap load of more units on release.

So PS3 will lose the base sell number on an accountablility.

And... there are just too many Nintendo fanboys around.

I say I'm not bias... But that's not neccessarily true. I've always hated Xbox. I think that Microsoft needs to get their nose out of the gaming industry.

But as for PS3 and Wii, I really am not that bias. I just like the PS3 based off of the products it will produce: Devil may Cry, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, RPG Maker...

Just a question lantis....say devil may cry 4 and rpg maker were heading to wii or xbox. would you switch?

I don't see enterbrain changing companies over just base sales. They were made for PS... they were made for PS2... they are more than less going to be made for PS3.

K, to get back on topic... I heard that Resident Evil 5 won't even be for the Wii. Which is strange.

The past few RE's have pretty much been Nintendo exclusive (with reguards to 4, which was ported later). Resident Evil Zero, and Resident Evil Remake were exclusive to the Gamecube, which lead me to believe the Capcom struck a deal with Nintendo... I guess that's not the case.

I personally think there are too many seires coming out for the PS3 that the Wii will not have to warrant a Wii over a PS3. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

But while I'm on the topic of RE... I remember watching the Wesker Report not to long ago. Which is a detailed summary in chronographical order of pretty much every major Resident Evil title through the eyes of Alber Wesker.

At the end of the report, he said he still has Sherry Burkins in his possessions and she is still alive... which is strange. She was in Resident Evil 2. RE2 took place in 1998. Resident Evil 4 took place 6 years later after alot when down. Which would put Cherry around the 20 to 21 age range.

Wouldn't it be crazy if Capcom brought her back? You wouldn't even recognize her until she said who she was... and when she did, all the RE vets will be like, "Whoa!!!".

But, in turn, Resident Evil 4 (though awesome) really ticks me off. Within the monolog, Umbrella is gone... What? Gone? What do you mean, "gone"? You mean to tell me that you spend all these years making Resident Evil titles building up to the final showdown with Umbrella Inc. only to just kind of side note that it's no more? What the hell are you thinking?! I wanted to see that company burn. I wanted to be the one to do it.

It's like counting down at newyears... except you go home and go to bed before the big countdown... makes going to the parties kind of pointless.

That will always be a thorn in Resident Evil's side. They really need to go back and make a RE that lets you finish off umbrella.

Now, I know that in Resident Evil 4, they talk about bringing back Umbrella. So what? I still didn't see their downfall in the first place. That's the biggest kill-joy ever.

Nope... the little monolog at the beginning of the game said that the goverment found out and pulled their funding.

That's pretty much it.

Capcom did strike a deal with Nintendo. The deal's over now, though. Capcom wasn't selling enough copies on GameCube to satisfy them.

I'm sure Capcom will make some side-story game that involves the destruction of Umbrella. Heck, it could be that lack of funding that may create the events of said RE game. There could be a desparate attack or whatever, and at one poing there's a fire-filled scene with the villain saying how it's the end of Umbrella.

Me and SK were talking about that last night actually... about how Nintendo and Capcom might have struck a deal about exclusive rights to RE titles...

Oh and if Capcom doesn't go back and make a game about the death of Umbrella... I will be very, VERY sad.

You do realize that Enterbrain developed RPGM titles for Nintendo pre-PSX right? And still have recently, actually, on the handhelds.

There hasn't been an RM for a handheld since Gameboy Color... I see no reason for them to go back to Nintendo based on units sold... which seems to be everyones "big proof" that RM4 will be for the Wii... which isn't accurate anyway because Nintendo is releasing more units in the first place.

Now if you go by percentage, both units will more than less sell all 100%.
