How is it possible that a woman rose up so high in ranks when the owner of the site is a misogynist? :p

But yes, the Head-level ranks are equally powerful. Except Head of Site. That's the biggest cheese.

Did not know about Goten. I just thought it was Ix, Owolf and Reki for the past few years.

Well let me refrase it: Your the first female I have seen that made it this far. :D

Edit: (Ix and I posted at same time) Yes why is that Ix? :P I think you got a soft spot after all in that heart of yours. ;)

Ah, but I didn't give her the position because she had a pair of boobs and a pair of holes. :p

I have a soft spot for competence. If a person is competence and doesn't act irrationally, then I think they're great.

Edit: Calling myself a misogynist is a joke, because the views I hold are usually labelled as misogynistic. :D

And her name was Cessi (aka Rinaobo).

So I guess the absolutely no Spam rule for this forum isn't in effect anymore, eh :). Well way to go fellow FLCL fan, though it really doesn't matter to me who is the head of the forum, as I don't plan on doing anything bad anytime soon. So to me it's more of an honorary title (since really no one here does anything bad, except being spammy at times).

This is probably one of the most mixed sites I've been on in terms of male to female active poster ratio, and especially head of things ratio. So hurray for equality :). Of course this normally comes from the tradionally biased field of electronics and computing being traditionally, and more than likely, still male dominated (it seems for some reason most women loathe computers. I'm still curious as to why, since I would like to see more technically competent women, though here there seem to be quite a few.).

@kitty - well i think it's kind of frightening. but i'll do my best as reki did in the past and as rob did in the past (well i assume he did o.0) and as ixzion and od and hyper and fay are now.

@nly - log onto ww.ryan.com and you can download my thoughts good or not. it's the virtual place to be so come download me, its not scary!

@TTC - i think it's simply not a very desirable profession for women, like sewing or babysitting isn't usually a very desirable profession for men. it just goes with the general natures of men and women. Though a lot of people in IT prefer women in help desk jobs or on call service jobs because women tend to be calmer and a bit more soothing to the customer's frazzled nerves or something. at least that is what i have been told. so i figure i have a good head start in the IT world with this whole female thing. actually, how i got my work experience for school was the guy i'm making the site for wanted a girl because he said they are more creative, or so he has found working with people in the past. *shrug*

Another one of those men are from mars women are from venus type deals I guess. I guess men are typecast as technically and mechanically knowledgeable while women are typecast as creative and caring I guess. Though I did notice as I was leaving college there seemed to be more women in the college of computing building, though of course they also have tons of support and flyers for them to choose the major, so that is probably helping. Of course how many stay will be another story. Hurray for socially enduced strereo types, they're ok cause they're generally accepted :P.

Though it would be interesting to see if given no social stereotypes to begin with if women and men really would be any more suited for certain tasks. Too bad that would probably be unethical (ironically enough). Then we could see if this general nature of men and women really exists, or is just a social construct that has been constantly reinforced over the years (though I think we already know the answer to that one).

Of course I think people also miss the creativity of programmers, as there is a big difference between elegant code and not so elegant code. So though it has rules it is more similar to writing a book really. Since you start with a base idea and have to figure out how to tell the computer your idea using it's language. Much like one does with a book. Of course I would venture that most programmers are not very good with drawing (or handwriting for that matter).

Well congrats again.
