I doubt you'd say that if you lost someone you loved. I doubt you'd want anyone to really forget them.

Life gos on. To lose someone you love is very hard. But its not good to be kept reminded of the pain. People die all the time. People lose love ones every day. But that does not mean its ok to make a "holiday" out of it.

It's not a holiday. Holidays are Christmas, and Thanksgiving... times of happiness. And it wasn't just a single person that died. More people died that day than in Pearl Harbor... And if you remember what Pearl Harbor is at all, then you just justified people remembering 9/11.

Well, ok. But how do you feel about them rebuilding on the grave yard of the "unfound" people? I'm sure there are still bones in that pit that where not discovered.

It is a holiday. The last time I bought a Flag for my home the paper said," You can put up your new flag for all these holidays..." And they listed 9/11 as "patriotic day"

Ok so how many people die every single day because of war or disease in the middle east, or in africa, or in china. Or how about the Indian Ocean Tsunami that killed 230,000 people, we're not remembering that! It's all far off and distant and not USA. Heck, even the number of people die in the USA simply due to poverty. not remembering that, not even Doing anything about that.

Yeah, but all of those were not acts aginst our country. This was an act of malice by terrorists. I'd venture to say there is a diffrence.
