Nothing, really, till you start trying to mesh John and said seahorse...then one begins to wonder.

I'd rather drawing the whole seahorse right from the beginning with the accessories. Much easier =P

Because they look like a horse. And they live in the sea.

Yup. Primarily the head, like horses have that round jaw part kind of think the same as seahorses do.
