I was reading an online comic. They had a gag about earthlink or whatever that dialup company is... anyway, the slogan at the end was "Dial-up: Like anyone gives a sh*t anymore"

And the congrigation say, "Amen"

Well they're all just continuing in the great tradition of AOL. They're old school not giving a ****. Ever since version 1.0. But yeah DSL is afforadable enough now for most people not to need dial up. Dial may become like broadcast TV, free but sucky. I think there are some companies that offer it for $5 a month now, and Juno had a free service but it sucked a lot, as if you got on or not was about as guaranteed as getting on to AOL.
