What people haven't played FF7, I'm very surprised. Not really because I think it's the best as I liked 8 and 10 just as much, because everyone on the internet thinks it is. It's pretty much a must play for all RPG fans, if for nothing else to see what all the hype is about.

And I can't say much as I know I had final attack Life going, because I used a gameshark as I really didn't feel like spending the 30 plus hours it would take to level up. I have done that way too much in other RPGs, and I had the gameshark. Didn't use it to get infinite health or anything like that, just quick AP and EXP. Basically I was saving time , not really cheating, just speeding up the ardous grinding that I would have had to do.

Where's the challenge if you're overpowered the whole time, though?

Looking at that video, I can see why I've never been able to beat that thing. Sooooooo much HP. I didn't even know it has a second phase! The only Weapons I was able to beat were the story-battle Weapon and the one you fight while flying the airship.

Kittykicker, if you have a Playstation or PS2 that hasn't DREaded PS1 games yet, I would recommend getting it. The game is very much over-hyped, but the story is interesting enough (ignoring Sony's sub-par translation), and it has my favourite battle system out of all the FF games. Just do us all a favor, and don't spoil yourself by watching any movies of FF7's cutscenes on the net. There is one super-huge spoiler that can be found in many different places if you look around.

FF8 is one of my least favourite FF games. The junction system is so broken.

Yeah, but it was still worth the play. I own it... I've played it through twice... but haven't touched it since. Actually I think FF8 was the only one where I didn't beat whatever otpional bosses were avalible.

Oh, I've made plenty of attempts to play through FF8 without cheating (the only time I've beaten it so far, I went up to L100 and gained 99 of all uber-spells and Squall's best weapon, and used Aura and Squall's limit for many 9999s in a single turn). But so far the furthest I've gotten in my replay attempts is the missile base on Disc 2. Not that it's FF8's fault I can't finish it. That happens with a lot of games I play. Just a few days ago I made it to the second disc of Final Fantasy 7 in three or so years, yet I tried playing through several times in between. I think I'm actually gonna finish it this time, because I'm having an absolute blast with it.

Well, except for the cross-dressing segment. I don't have a problem with the idea, but it's boring and I want to move on. There's one other segment I don't like, but I can't remember what it is at the moment. (And it's not any of the Cloud's past segments. I like those.)

Yep, this weekend me and a friend started playing. We just got through dressing up for Don Corneo. We got the best stuff so Cloud got picked... Well at least Squre has a sense of humor.

Eh, I prefer Cloud/Red/Vincent myself. Vincent because of his limit, Red because he's a wolf thing, and Cloud because I've got no choice.

That boss in the underwater reactor is annoying. It's the only boss in the game that continues to give me trouble on each of my playthroughs.

I just got my but whooped by Sephiroth. My fault, though. My healer was unable to act because was shrunk, muted, and turned into a frog, to which Sephiroth followed up with Supernova and thwarted any hope of recovery. Should've gave him the Ribbon instead. Not like that Fire Ring he's wearing right now is of any use at the final battle, anyway. Didn't even get to try the Dark Star Flare or whatever it was that I wound up learning when Sephiroth used it on my Enemy Skill Materia-holding character.

Make sure whoever had that Enemy Skill materia holder has Big Guard on it.
It gives Hate, Shell, and Protect to all characters.... awsome.

To get it you have to go to the beach line near the forest where you got Yuffie. Make sure you have the control ability because you will have to get the enemy to cast it on the person with Enemy Skill. The enemy (the name slips my mind) looks like a rolly-polly with a tail and is green. Control him and when it's turn comes up, use Big Guard.... weeee.

First attempt at game: Memory card corrupts
Second attempt at game: Memory card corrups again! My bad for using same MC
Third attempt at the game: The farthest of my attempts. I made it to the second disc before my aunt overwrote my file with hers. That was a / kind of moment to me.

Of course, I did watch my brother play. And my sister. and my (grrr!) aunt. An my neighbor...

Ah, Big Guard. I suppose that would work. I'm probably gonna wind up heading back and gaining a few levels so I could actually survive the onslaught of boss-like random encounters in the crater, anyway.

Lol, take out Emeral Weapon... if you can do that, you can take out Sephiroth blindfolded.

i wasn't such a huge fan of Red XIII, really. I preferred Cid.

Him, Cloud and Vincent saw me through most things by attacking continually, and without any subtlety whatsoever. Though it could be very hit and miss at times.

also, i have to mention the biker minigame. It was awesome XD

Vencent was awsome, It's just I couldn't stand using his limit breaks. What good is a character you can't control? Yes, yes... I know he deals alot of damage. But every bit of materia you give him after his limit break is now worthless. And what if you are in dire need of a mega-elixir?
