Well, perhaps you can

Now, for the reason I made the statement.

I just base all my statements in things I actually live or have been through. When I experience something, that's what my statement will be based on, not on articles or how virtual, distant people are like.

The thing is, the environment I live is pretty tough. The experience I have with girls. It seems no woman is... let's say... "nice". All the women I know, when it comes to commitment, are complete ASSHOLES.

Let me give you an example. Real story, fake names.

Bob is one of my best friends (male). He isn't commited. Amy is one of my best friends (female). She dates a boy from another state, they see each other very rarely. Tehy both being close friends of mine, I can talk about anything with both. Amy is one of the friendliest people I know. She is always smiling, is REALLY nice and has the talent of attracting anyone to her. A real treasure, once-in-a-lifetime found.

The thing is, at a party, Bob and Amy got together. Neither of them was drunk. She was still dating the guy from another state.
The next day, she told him she would go as far as breaking up with her boyfriend for him. She said what she had with Bob was something really special and she didn't want it to end like that. By the time, Bob was really falling for her and she knew it.

Thing is, she kept on dating her boyfriend. She travelled to the boyfriend's state and gave her ass to him and everything.
She treated Bob like nothing had happened. She kept being soo nice, the way she normally is. When he got to talk to her about that, she said she'd rather not have anything with Bob.

Fact is, in the party (this Saturday, mind you) she got together with another guy, a different one. And did NOT tell Bob nor her boyfriend about it.

And she still dates the guy from the other state.

I can respect theories based on experience.
However, there is an error in basing all theories of existence upon experience, I think.
You've experienced one small, young, and partial segment of the world, and therefore what you know of it is asphyxiating and confining.
You cannot hope to express a truth when all you've done is express what is true for you so far, you've got to think in terms that are comparable to the world we live in if you're going to try and define the world we live in, and that is to say Large terms.
Women in general, men in general.
What are their elements, not their individual characteristics.
You've had rotten luck with women, but that doesn't make women so rotten as your luck, nor do the women whose luck with men has been rotten have claim to anything of the sort either.
I've met some sweet, intelligent, sacrifical, pretty women whom any number of men would be more than lucky to have, but because of the way men treat them they think of themselves as rag-dolls with holes cut under their dresses that we can pick up and set down at our leisure.
Men are just as brutal, just as maniacal, just as insensitive; it only so happens that we are also more aggro (in general, of course), also stronger-- this gives us a decided advantage in being those things.
In this 'tough' neighborhood you're trying to tell me no girl has ever been raped? No girl has ever been beaten? Malested?
Sounds illogical to me, perhaps this comes back to that narrow-minded experience alone basis.
Perhaps not.

How about this... Everybody sucks!

Weeee

Oh, and I couldn't help myself, I looked it up. "Girls don't like boys, Girls like cars and Money" is lyrics from a Good Charlet (or whatever they are called) song. Not that I like the group, but you should listen to it some time.

But seriously, NLY is right. This really isn't about gender. Just people in general. Instead of saying girls are b*tches and here's why, or guys are basta*rds and here's why... we should (if at all) just pick out the decent people from the ass*oles... reguardless of sex.

All we can do is give our perspectives from our experiences, hice why this topic has hit it's third page in one day...

Agreed with you, NLY. My experience is indeed small; I'm kinda young for this place's standards. I'm 15.

I really do believe there are nice, caring and even near-perfect women out there. Somewhere. But I'm also a hopeless pessimist, because (again) of my experiences. I guess those women do exist, but it is something I'll never get to see... For me, all good women are already taken, or unreachable.

I'm not saying that men are all good. We're assholes too. Even the so-called "niceguys" are, more than they think, assholes...

I guess Murphy is at every corner. He's watching all of us... if you get clucked up in the end, what can you do about it?

good charlotte.

i could sing it for you, if it wasnt that i prefer to cut my own vocal chords out rather than do that.

and yeah, id go as far to say that 'in general' doesnt work. nor does compartmentalising people into what they are, rather than WHO they are. its been said before, though.

nvm. *wanders off*
