Well, I've been quiet for too long. I gotta do this:

Quote:
I don't know why you boys go out of your way to hate women.

Nice labels. I guess anyone who has beef with women is "hating" them, eh?

Quote:
Your mother is a woman don't you love and respect her?

Strawman! Deflect the main arguement by setting up something else to respond to.

Quote:
Then why all these mean woman topics?

Notice how criticism is now regarded as "mean".

Quote:
I like the treads that talk about how hot and sexy woman are. I can agree with that. But this is just wrong.

Talking about how great and hot and sexy women are is A-OK, but bring up some "mean" criticism and that's wrong. Horribly wrong.

Quote:
With every new thread I see posted regarding all the bad habbits of women it shows me how much anger you boys have. Its really sad.

Shaming language instead of legitamitely wanting to know the source of the anger.

Quote:
Well lets put it this way Lantie. If things where to ever come to an end with TheAsianInvasion and my self. Its good to see that I will have lots of other really good choices on here. You guys are really sweet. Kinda young for me but sweet.

Plotting already? :p

Quote:
Oh don't get me wrong. I think guys are cruel too. In Kratos' thread, I asked why wife-beaters always end up married and whatnot. I think it's wrong that it's socially acceptable for guys to sleep with as many women as possible then turn around to a girl that does the same thing and call her a whore.

We always hear about asshole guys in the media, but almost never about asshole girls.

Quote:
Can't you just vent over PMs? Because its kinda hurtful to us ladys that you don't mean to offend with your anger.

This used to bother me. Because I used to wonder "Hmm, if I'm not talking about these people here, then why would it be hurtful to them?" It's almost like being black, and having someone say "a lot of black people have low IQs" and then being offended by it when your IQ is 130.

I believe that the reason it hurts those people is because it bears some striking truth in the statement. Even if you're not aiming to "hurt them", what you're saying incriminates them as well! But that's only a theory.

Quote:
But for what it's worth, I never ment to insult or upset you. And for that I am sorry. I will try to keep to myself a little more.

There's nothing to be sorry about. You didn't call her out and on top of that, you told her that you meant her and the other women here as exclusions.

In addition, you were only venting anger out in a general direction.

Sumisem wrote:
Doesn't bother me.... *shrug*

Win!

Quote:
Have you tried older girls? The young ones don't know what they want yet.

Yeah, but they know what they DON'T want: Niceguys. :p

And no guy should want any old, used-up woman who's been having sex with guys since 16 or younger, who didn't want a guy like them at the time, and now consider Niceguys as a last resort at 30. A settlement.

I should not be sounding like I speek for all women.
Everyone can be an asslow. All I know is that if I was not married. And if you men thought I was a hottie. I would not hurt you. Thats all I know. I love to feel love and I love to give it. I don't see a problem. :)

Ix, its not nice to say things about people with out getting to know them.
But hey, I respect that if thats what you want to do.
I'm not you. And I'm not that kind of person.

The general concept of men and women as a dichotamy, a dualism, disparate groups requiring criterion for differentiation is a bit muddled and antiquated.

Men and women are equal but not opposite, the only difference between the two (apart from the ranging physical distinctions) is the manifestations of the same mortal jargon. There are many fitting blanket statements, and beyond even that there are now libraries of blanket terminologies for us to draw from when angered by the opposite sex, but they are us, and we are them, and each of them is predictable along the lineaments of certain sex-bound traits (that men and women like to cast at each other), but it's really the epitome of hypocrisy. We are them, they are us, they are merely us in ways that society has told them to be, gender roles have molded their humanity and ours in seperate courses but it doesn't change the inherent humanness of us, for every aggravation there is an equal, for every gullibility there is an equal.

In terms of how the relationship is handled (i.e.- which side is the one receiving dominace in matters such as Drunken Tuesdays and dirty appartments) that's a gender role of women themselves, that's how we've let them become, and we are just as domineering in other aspects, we merely don't see them as domineering, so what is saying they see them as such? In their eyes they're doing what they feel is right, they're acting out of benefit to you, they're doing what you don't do (above all). The chances of there being a woman who is deliberately domineering of the opposite (equal?) sex is the same for a man, we are human, it is our instances that make us what we are, but we will always have the same beefs, the same quirks, pounded into leaf-print or swordblade, fork or spoon, one or the other. To complain about them is to complain about you, and perhaps it's part of humanity's inherent distaste for itself that it should be so (a nice way to face your demons, only by doing it in your other half, for the sake of ego stability), for somewhere in the world they are raising the same arguments in different forms against you.

Not only is it irrelevant, circuitous, and foolish; it's also annoyingly redundant.

There's no need for articles on this point.

Girls like freakin' cars and money. And older guys.

And PERIOD.

Just look around and you'll notice it.

Kitty, I would like to remind you that I am a fully-grown man. With that in mind, please realize that I've been told that first sentence quite enough while growing up. But you know what nice has gotten me?

A lot of not nice. I bite my tongue here, as I don't want it to get drawn out any more.

You say that but think about it.

Yeah, you seem like a good person. Someone who is easy to be-friend. But lets say you started actually dating me (or any guy here). Things between you and whoever it is you might be dating would change.... dramatically... because you would be stepping out of the relm of friendship and into commitment (which so many people fear [you not for one seeing as you are married]).

NLY is right, this is redundant. It's a topic which will have no end. But there is nothing wrong with a little debate... actually NLY seems like a master-debator.

Would it be rude to point out I would be speaking *common?
Or that you would *break out the webster?

Heh, sorry, "grammar-nazi" at times.

I don't really have much authority over the way I speak or type.
Imagine telling a kid who'd lived in the ghetto his entire life to speak proper english rather than ebonics.
That's about how it is with me, it's how it comes out, and I'd have to make a conscious effort to control it, and I really don't feel like doing so.
Conscious efforts are undeniably the most exhausting ones.

By that logic:

Guys like freakin' tits and money. And bigger tits.

And PERIOD.

Do you realize how (with you being one of the men in question) narrow-minded that statement about men was?
Try equating that to women now, and you might be on the right track to realizing the error in placing blanket statements as law.
Blanket statements sound nice and relieve stress, but they aren't good for much else.
