Yes true.. We are all guessing. At the same time No one has the answers to "Whats the meaning of life" Your point well taken Kratos. At the same time. Why did this thread get so far then? Because this whole thread is about "explaining the unknown."

IF the people had not pondered about the unknown, would there be science?

Or even worse, would there be philosophy?

I'm a big science buff my self. Yes, I think your right about this one.
Being human and science is all about picking things apart. To find
out how it works.

The reasons we humans got so far is, among many others, the fact that we have curiosity and need for knowledge... and (what makes us apart from animals), we have the intelligence to actually GET that knowledge.

Actually, I believe there is no one specific true in the meaning of life. There will never be an answer... just opinions.

The meaning of life. Umm.. Is to keep having more and more kids until theres no room left. And everyone starts starving. Then we all start to eat eachother. :evil
