AMEN!!!

Being able to ride Yoshi in 3D was probably the best thing about the game, with the challenge mini-levels being second-best. Everything else was disappointing. Mario games are all about variety of levels, yet all of Mario Sunshine's levels were tropical. Things wound up getting old very fast. The story was also stupid (even for a Mario game), and I can't get over Bowser's horrible voice in it. I finally decided to get rid of my copy when I was within 10 Shines of completing the game, and found out that some of those Shines were super-hidden with little to no mentioning that they even existed.

If I ever got the game back, it would only to be able to ride on Yoshi once more. So fun, even though you can't do a whole lot with Yoshi in the game (these for some reason melt in water and can't be transferred between levels). I could ride on Yoshi all day.

I remember when Nintendo Power came out with their 100 issue and had a "top 100 games" list. It was the same year Mario 64 came out for the N64. So, of course, it make #1. Which let's you know it was rigged.

First off, I though the game was okay at first... but it's nothing special.
Secondly, you should have seen the games that placed lower than it. I mean, games like FFVI were WAY down the list. I'm sorry, but even none RPG players know that FFVI is well more than worthy than (I can't quite remember) maybe the mid 30s in a top 100 list.

And lets think of other Mario titles after Mario 64...

Mario party (1-however many there are now)
Mario Golf ( 64 and Gamecube)
Mario Kart (64 and double dash)
Mario Soccer
Ect...

None of these games are really any good unless you have some pals to play them with.

I just think that both Mario and Sonic would best be left as a Side Scroller.

Does anyone remember Kirby 64? It was basically a side scroller. Maybe they should try taking step back out of the 3D invironment and try to bring back what we all want... Besides, graphics don't make a game.

^ Graphics DON'T make a game. Agreed. Most of my all-time favorite games have 2-D graphics. Graphics aren't something anyone should consider as being the most important aspect of a game.

I'm glad you agree. I remember when Xbox fanboys were always arguing because "Xbox has way better graphics". Yeah, but the games weren't that great. Honestly, the Xbox had to major titles: Fable and Halo. Pretty much any other title could be found on another console. Oh, and Fable you can get on computer... so scratch that.

And since I'm on the topic.... A console is only as good as it's games. Who cares if you can chat, keep a profile, store movies and MP3s, and all that jazz (that's what a computer if for anyway). If the games aren't good... the console isn't good...

the story in sonic heroes is umm bad. I mean bad. Did they spend anytime thinking of a story? The camera has a mind of its pucking own. I stopped playing after i got to that one canyon level,.

I beat the game. Then tried to do it with another team... ITS ALL THE SAME. Just like that video from Gamespot said. Slightly altered moves is all the other teams do.

I liked the side scroller storylines that had no text or voice acting. You pulled the story by what happened on screen.
