Oh, btw... anyone who is getting a Wii to get all their classic games back it waisting their money. *cough* Emulators... *hack* Roms....
Hacks suck. I'd rather pay for the real deal. Besides, NES games won't likely cost more than $1 each, and I don't see SNES games and N64 games being a whole lot more expensive (maybe up to $25 for the bigger N64 games).

Oh, and once those old games do get released on the Virtual Console, nobody can say it's okay to download the hacks since the people who made the games aren't making money off of them.

I hope it works well. :/

Indeed you are correct. And actually, the controller for the Wii looks really strange. In an official japan release of the controller (luckly there was a translator who spoke semi-good english) they called it the Nunchuku style controller. It looks a little something like this:

That joystick in the left hand detaches and isn't needed in all games.

Actually, there are distinct advantages to having roms/hacks. With roms, you don't have to worry about the game never working (blowing in the cartrage). You have the ability to save state at any given second (you can save your game and load instantly). Also, you can play games that never made it to the US. For example. There was Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana, and Legend of Mana right?

Actually Japan called Secret of Evermore "secret of mana 1" which makes Secret of Mana really "Secret of Mana 2". People thing that Legend of Mana is the sequal to the previous mentioned game, which is false. Seiku Dendetsu 3 (Or Secret of Mana 3) came out in japan and never made it here. Thanks to freelancing translators, we now can play that game.

Same goes for Final Fantasy 3 (not final fantays 6). The list goes on...

Nintendo has made it a point to have a completely diffrent controller for each system... Unlike Sony, who has had the same since day 1.

I prefer Sony's...

Why not (to Kitty)? You got used to other controllers. It's not like you hold the Wiimote like a regular remote. Least not when you're only using it. Nope, you'd hold it sideways so it'd be like a traditional controller.

You're right, it totally won't be worth having to blow on the internal flash drive that will be holding these games.

Yup, nothing like being able to save in places that you weren't meant to save. Though I suppose it wouldn't be much different than a cheat device in that aspect, and I don't have a problem with those.

Yup. Why allow companies like Enterbrain to bring us an official copy of games like RPG Maker 2003 when we can do an unofficial translation and put it on the net? I mean, it's not like there are going to be any past games that get a new official translation effort and brought here even though there's the perfect opportunity to do so in Wii.

I own a SNES. But I really prefer the emulator. Since quite a few of the cartridges I own are in japanese, I only managed to understand some of them (like RPG Tsukuru 2).

With the emulator, there are those advantages and the translations. It feels so good to actually understand what's going on in Seiken Densestu 3. And with Romancing SaGa 3. Two of my all-time favorites, which I only managed to get good at thanks to translations (my japanese sucks).

I don't know. That whole wire attachment controler looks confusing.

Refering to the traditional systems. But you still can't beat the price. Also, alot of people overlook the ability of the playback feature. This allows you to watch speedruns of your favorite games.

I wouldn't consider savestate cheating unless you abuse it. Alot of the old nintnedo games have very few save points. I'm not always able to dedicate the time to a game as I would like. Being able to save on the spot is a convienience.

Yes, but some of those games aren't out yet, I already have them under my belt. And there are many MANY games that are never going to make it to the US. And what's more is that you can fit so many on flash memory (emulators and game saves as well) and easily take them with you to any PC and continue playing. I doubt people will be carrying Wii's around too often.

But to each their own. I'm not bashing you or anyone who wants a Wii. It's just my personal opinion.

I want to mod my PS2... but it's about to get the boot when I get a PS3. I'm not going to do any hacking till the system is considered old or is easily replaced.

But modding on the other hand has less chance of damaging your PS3.

No clue. It all depends on how much mod parts will cost for the PS3. So, until it comes out, I'll be in the dark.

You control some kind of benevolent demon who... hunts down demons. I think. Did I get it right?
