Good looking game, there, Obright. But are you gonna actually attach a file to this?

Yes. Eventually. LOL!! I didn't realise you had to post the file immediately.
Sorry, as you can see, this is olny my 10th post over here. I read a few
game submission threads, and some of them didn't have a file attached...
so I wasn't sure. Is it ok if this stays up for a while, until such a time as I
can get a file up? If I did it right now, it would be a (mostly complete)
demo, but in about a week I can have the basic playable version up. If I
have goofed and screwed this whole thread up by doing it this way, then I
apologise.

Yeah, I take the files off of the posts once I have them.

I can just move this to RPGM Series Dev and Help for now. ;)

To whoever downloaded this file before this morning...

Aparently, very small game data saves actually take up MORE space on a
MAX drive...and the only sense I can make of that, is that empty data
blocks cannot be 'crushed'. but I really have no idea why a game with ONE
map and 2 characters would show up on the MAX drive as 855 kb, while
my game...at 87.9% data useage...shows up as 350 kb :\

The game that was posted was my roommate's game...but mine is up now,
(hopefully), so that should be fixed.

So how goes that 6-9-06 release date?

And if you've got a demo, and a fairly impressive looking game from where I'm sitting (not having played it that is), you should ask for a preview. Get the word out and all.

Well, that was the date that I released this demo version. I'm not even
going to try and guess how long it will actually take to complete the
full basic version...let alone the replayable version. I'm not going to try
and push it...I thought it would help me get off my ass and work on it, but
instead it's invoked my 'put it off until the last night before' response. Take
off the burden factor, and suddenly I'm working on my game every day
like I used to

Hey...that's almost a perfect anagram! ;) Is that something you've made
up, or is it from somewhere else? It sounds cool, in any case. Do you
have your game uploaded anywhere?

I finally got the beginning hooked up to the end...the whole game's now
playable. The library events, the King events, the bosses, the beginning,
the end, the mansion events...everything. The only thing left to do was
playtest and tweek it. I had been looking forward to the very first complete
playthrough for the last 10 months...and this morning, it finally arrived. I
put in the game, began my playtesting, got to level 4, and my console
locked up. This isn't a new thing, I've had over 300 lockups while using
RPGM3...and ONLY that disk. This time, however...after restarting my PS2,
it says 'please insert PS2 disk' until I want to show it just exactly what a
PS2 disk can be...

Ahem...anyway, I've been obsessed with getting my game finished for 2
months now...I work on it every single day...and now it's gone :\

I'm jonesing my ass off already.

I'm uploading the data I had begun to playtest...there are enemies at the
end with 1 hp...and the levels of the others may be wack, but like I said, I
can't playtest it anymore...so...bla. It can still be played from beginning to
end, if anyone wants to completely ruin the GOOD experience to come...
but I have NO IDEA how long that might be.

So, your RPGM3 is broke, or you PS2 won't play PS2 games anymore?

I bought RM3 new, but ever since the first time I ever put it in, it's locked
up at least once...every time I've tried to use it. I've still made an (almost)
complete game with it...it just means I have to save after I do EVERY little
thing...and I mean save twice. It's an annoying pain in the ass, but I've
gotten used to it...I guess. I have NO PROBLEM WHATSOEVER with the 30+
other PS2 games I use...now, or ever. It just HATES that CD, and I have
absolutely no idea why. I've NEVER heard an entire piece of music all the
way through...except for when a friend of mine brought his PS2 over, and I
tried it on his console. I've had it cleaned...twice...it still locked up.

Now, though...it won't even read the disk at all. I'm about ready to smash
it. I look on the disk, and there's one TINY marr on it...probably in just the
wrong place. I have no idea how it got there...I treat ALL my games like
they're from King Tut's tomb or something, but especially that one...it's the
only one I care about these days :\

BTW: How did my review go? You didn't trash me TOO bad, did you? ;)
