I like my job. I get to sit down most of the time, it's air-conditioned, the people are friendly, and I'm the only man who works there.

It helps that most of my co-workers are attractive. Gives me something to look at while time passes.

I hate actually having to do my job as a lab assistant. When I tell people to double-click, they single-click.

Go to the desktop. "Where's that?"

A lot of people don't follow directions, or they move ahead of me. It makes everything harder than it is.

What about you?

I'll tell you as soon as I'm able to find one.

But as for my last two jobs, the first I liked until near the end when I started having to do bathrooms. The second one I hated the whole time except for the occasional special meals.

I had a temp one but that never worked out as well. But right now I'm doing nothing but I usually mow yards for people I know, house clean for people with a higher status in life, sell dvd's and cd's to friends. Thats mostly it right now. I just wish I could learn how to use a bot for WoW like my friend in college does for everquest2.

I'll tell you when I get one.

I applied to a few places this summer, nothing. I plan to just work on driving this summer. Then I'll be trying to get a job at Sheetz or somewhere else next summer.

And I'll probably get a job at college this fall.

Up until very recently, when my boss became senile, I liked my job muchly.

I'm the entire lab staff for a small chemical manufacturing company.

I get to just hide in the lab all day and I don't have to deal with many people at all.

I still enjoy the work, but the environment is becoming intolerable.

Anyone wanna hire a Really Obnoxious Chemist?

I had 3 jobs until recently, and now I have none.
I despised the restaurant gig.
Construction was construction I guess, bit rough at times perhaps, but all in all its the better of the three.
The farmhand deal left me with bile in my mouth at the end of the day.

All in all getting fired was my favorite part of the first and third jobs.
I sure can make an exit.

I have always like my jobs >__> but none of that ever lasted very long. im not very talented.

babysitting is always fun,
doing summer day camps is fun (its like babysitting),
cleaning houses is fun (because its OTHER people's houses and not mine!),
Petro Canada was fun,
the restaurant thing was kind of fun (though my mom was always bugging me about it since they were technically an illegal business and whatnot),
putting on shows is mega fun (iunno if it counts really as a job since its volunteer.. but so was the day camps),
Berry picking - now that wasn't so much fun... i hate getting burned cus i get burned really badly. but its fun in the way that it gives you eight hours a day to just think. thus many adventures. ^.^,
helping backstage at the year end show was fun... though mostly sitting around watching the teenage drama (rofl) i got to move a ladder, yay me.

*stops rambling*

so generally yes, i enjoy working. (but in retrospect i enjoy nearly everything)

I would really like my job... if I had it...

I've been between jobs for quite a while now. I get the "we will see next week" BS and, so far, has held fast.

But if I did have the job, I would be the computer technician for Eldorado Chemical. I'd have around 100 or so workstations to have to mantain and network. Also, I would have to train employees. But I am confident in my knowledge and my patience with people and think it would be a very rewarding job. It's time I put my degree to use anyway... My past job rocked. I was a tech for a local computer store. We built custom computer (the one I have right now is one of them... hope you've seen it) and my boss had manditory online game playing involving Unreal Tournament. But there where no benifets and such. So I'm just trying to get my career going by stepping it up a notch. I'm just hoping I get this new job real soon...

I hate my job, but I like the people I work with... I'm considering switching but I need the cash and they pay the best for a part time salary. The company is U-Haul... need I say more? Some of you have had good experiences, others have had bad, but when a rental goes sour for whatever reason, even if it's customer stupidity, I'm the one that takes the rain of sh*t over the phone or in person. The company pays me $5.15/hr less than what I should be getting to deal with all the crap I get rained on with. Other than that, my co workers are cool as all hell, and they'd bend over backwards to help someone out.

I work in a pretty strict office environment, but the majority of the people I work with are cool. I work on administering pension benefits for the 120000 or so people that were screwed when United Airlines filed bankruptcy. It might be hard sometimes, or overwhelming, but I'm happy that I'm helping these people get or continue their pensions they would otherwise have lost.

That's really cool. It's a damn shame that it happened. :\

I don't have a job >.< I'm underage.
But 10-11 hours of school 5 times a week is sure exhausting.

Damn, I prefer working than that. I'm serious.

I suppose if I look at the two above quotes I can say that I do help people as much as I can within the limits of my company. People who "NEED" to move for a cheap price, "CAN" do so with a U-Haul and "I" make that possible.

The personal benefits of knowing that I helped some geting things done when they couldn't go elsewhere kinda makes me feel good. Besides it's not every day that I get people yelling at me over the phone, but I will admit that it has been the most anyone has EVER thought they could yell at me in over 7 years of customer service related jobs...

My favorite line, "Calm down, or I "WILL" terminate this conversation..." (as I listen to more screaming...) <click> :lol
I can think positively about the job.
1) It won't be what I will be doing for the rest of my life...
2) I won't have to deal with callers that ask, "Do you rent moving trucks?"
3) And my personal favorite is when I answer the phone
"Thank you for calling U-Haul Moving and Storage, this is..."
and the 1st question they ask is... "Is this U-Haul?"

From there on out I just know I have to hold this customers hand because they didn't even listen to me when I first introduced myself and the company. I mean I've got a lot of true winners calling my location. I had what appeared to be a 90 year old granny come in wanting to drive a truck. She nearly wiped out 4 cars pulling into our driveway, didn't have her lisence with her and expected me to give her a truck, come move the stuff for her, pack up the rest of her stuff and ship it to a storage facility and then gas up the truck myself all within the costs of the $19.95 that was advertised on the side of the truck. And she got all pissed at me when I told her that we were a do it yourself moving industry. She left the store without her dentures that she threw at us before leaving and caused an accident between two other cars as she left our driveway. Yeah... and you want people like that driving trucks that are 20000 LBS fully loaded?!?!? I DON'T THINK SO!

Okay I'm done venting for now... Positive thoughts... positive thoughts... my job is cool.... positive thoughts....
