On rpg maker 1, I have an event where I want a character to join the party, sounds simple, but not in my case. Everytime I "add character", the character appears invisible, and their stats are totally reset(nameless, nothing like I put it) So I moved the character to a spot where one of my other characters were on the main character data screen, and when I try this, it makes the character have the OTHER character's stats and name, but the weird thing is, the name of the old character I earlier changed, and it still gives the character the persons old name. and so it is like it is stuck on remembering how the page once was or something and nothing else when I try to use it in the game, it worked earlier for 2 other characters. just recently it is doing this and I dont know why or even how.
this has to be a memory glitch or something, I dont know.

Are you using a test save? Characters you create aren't recognized until you start a new game. Otherwise if you create a character and continue a test save, it'll almost be like the character was never created.
