try both. it's a crappy piece of hardware, you never know what will make it work. for that matter, put cheerios in it, cover it with honey and feed it to a squid. might fix it.

That is just not possible... :lol

Sure it is. Squids aren't that hard to find.

Anyway, I'm having Dexdrive problems... Now this is my first time using a DexDrive and I know I have it plugged in right. (Orange light is on and is plugged to comp.) I also installed the DexPlorer Program.

But my problem is that when I enter the program, it says it cannot find the DexDrive... What's wrong? I have it plugged in and every thing.

Where did you get your Dex drive? I am trying to get one.

I bought mine on Ebay... If you want I could sell you one of mine for like $10. (When I bought mine, the guy sent me 2.)
Also, my other one isn't even opened.

And to ask a question for the above posts, should I use a Kraken or a normal squid? Or both?

If you open the .zip file and double-click on the .gme files, it should automatically open up DexPlorer. You must have a memory card in the DexPlorer at the time, or else the files will appear as "null".

Choose "Restore" to copy a game onto your memory card, or you can drag files to the memory card individually. I prefer "restore", though it erases everything that was on the memory card beforehand, so make sure you're using a blank card or a card with files that won't be missed.

Those "special" memory cards won't work. You're gonna need a regular 15-block card, preferably from Sony (there are a few 3rd-party cards that aren't very reliable).

For large games, you'll want multiple memory cards. Likely, you won't need more than three for any game. At the most, most games will only take up a single system card, a single Anime Maker card, and a varying amount of scenario data cards. For those games that go beyond a single scenario data, you can play to the end of the first card, and then when you need to use the next scenario data, just head to your DexDrive and replace the old scenario data with the new.

Well thanks... Good thing I didn't buy it. (I had bought back before the PS2 came out when I had many more PS1 games and I just found it today.)
