You can start by telling us what RPGM you're using and what sort of things you want your CBS to do. Is it supposed to be Zelda-like? Are there limit breaks involved? Things like that.

We can't tell you what needs to be done if we have no idea where to start.

I want to make a turn-base rpg game with 2 or 3 different type of limits with their own move (with 9 charaters) and something like the crystle thing in FFIX (if that possible).

Whoa, something like that would take a whole lot of work, though it is possible. Um...before any of us try posting 10 or so pages of script, how much of this can you figure out on your own?

What parts?

Sorry for throwing back questions at you, but when you need to know something as complex and time-consuming as a CBS, you need to be very specific about what you can and can't do. In actuality, it might even be easier for us to answer questions for parts of the CBS as you go along rather than explain it to you all at once.

I was really expecting somebody else to help along in this topic. Guess people were expecting me to answer since I was already involved. Or something.

I really don't have much experience with turn-based CBSs yet, so I don't really know much about the subject.

Wow CBS would seem like a huge waste of time and memory card space, but that's just me. Unless it is absolutely amazing. How would they do experience and level ups? Switches?

Depends on the RPGM. RPGM2 allows one to easily create a CBS or modify the default one. (And by "easily", I mean without having to worry about too many limits. It'll still be an absolute pain to create.)

RPGM1 is a lot trickier. Most people wouldn't even bother with experience, and most wouldn't bother with multiple party members. Some battle systems are worth it. They're not absolutely fantastic, but they're a nice change of pace when there's already 80 or so RPGM1 games using the default battle system. They do take a lot of memory, so a lot of planning ahead is required in order to figure out if you have enough room on your memory card for that sort of thing. I myself know how to create a complex (for RPGM1) battle system with a team of two party members vs a group of 1-3 monsters, with HP, MP, experience, and a little strategy. But I got a headache the last time I tried putting the thing together, so it's only theoretically possible until I get the courage to try again (I saved the custom graphics for it, just in case). The thing was also going to wind up taking a whopping 20,000-30,000 MEM for each area, so the memory cards would have to be short as well. If I include potential memory consumption of cutscenes and towns, I'd be limited to three dungeons on a single card.

Plus there's the problem that I can't think of a story to go with such a battle system.

I save a HELL of a lot of memory actualy by making my own active battle systems in RPGM2 than had I made a full fledged default one. The Enemy events and attakcs and VFX and stuff is a memory sucking machine. You use a lot less with an ACBS...I have not yet run out of mem on a game where I've used an ACBS.

like zelda. i dont think there's been an RPGM2 game that has incorporated both action and leveling up elements, like a Castlevania:SotN.
