Ok I'm having trouble with the number of flags. why are there only like 150? and how can I make more?

You could potentially use items as switches, but I think that the reason they put so few flags in is because of the amount of variables. Variables can be used to do switch-like functions, too.

You can't "create" flags. You are given a number of flags (forget how many). A number of them are used by the software and the other are user controlled. Some of the software controlled ones can be switched on and off by the user, but only in a script. The user controlled ones can be switched on and off in a script or in the General Settings, for the beginning of the game. You can name the user controlled ones in Game Settings, but you probably all ready know that.

And yeah. I believe it would be a much better idea to just use variables. They have much more outcomes than flags (which flags have 2) that you could use. However, don't neglect flags completely. They can still have their uses. Hope that helped. :)
