That didn't bother me near as much as his voice acting in 3. And his overall attitude in 3 made him seem more cocky than cool. He was always subtle and collected, though he knew he could kick ass, he didn't flaunt and dance around like a ninny because of it. But I enjoyed the heck out of that game. After you beat Dante Must Die on 3. You got a special mode besides the unlimited Devil Trigger mode. "Heaven or Hell" mode... (Guilty Gear rip off???) But in this mode, you die from anything in just one hit, reguardless of life or anything. But so too, the enimies died in one hit... that's right. One handgun bullet from ebony & Ivory would kill a boss. Such is the fruits of your labor.

HEAVEN OR HELL.

READY?

FIGHT.

Sorry, I'm a huge GG fan (I can't remember if the guy says "Ready" or not, it's been a while).

Anyways, that sounds cool, the Heaven or Hell mode. I'd probably totally rule in that mode.

I was actually playing Guilty Gear X last weekend... He says, "Heavon or Hell"... Round (whatever round it is)" ... "Let's rock". I was tearing up some peeps with Sol Badguy.

Yeah, Heaven or Hell mode in DMC 3 isn't hard at all. There is only one enemy that doesn't fall to a single handgun shot. That is those angelic looking enemies that have to have their wings removed to uncover their weak point... a evil looking face for a chest. You have to survive without being hit once. But the rest is EASY. Even Vergil's final form will die in on shot. But to make it interesting, I tried to go through the game with no guns. And it was, indeed, interesting...

Heh. Sounds fun.

Yeah, I completely forgot about that GG intro by the way. "Let's rock." The whole game, music and all, reminds me of Heavy Metal, or atleast 80's Hair Metal bands (the atmosphere of the game, and the music).

HO------LY CRAP, do I hate Dante must die mode! I had to stop playing it after I started feeling really light-headed and my thumbs got all sore.

The bosses aren't too much harder, but the enemies take forever to kill!!
I don't even think about using a style other than royal guard anymore

SSD256 - In DMC 3 the only class I used was Trickster. Royal Guard was to slow for me. Being able to teleport across the screen was saving my butt more than anything. The way I beat Vergil at the end was by saving up quite a few Holy Waters... cheep? yes... but OMG the rate in which he gains life when he is TD mode is just wrong.

Oh, and I totally agree about the need for more 2D fighters....

Mugen anyone?

Ah, yes.

We seriously need more 2d fighters, and re-releases of old classics of Capcom and SNK (now SNK Playmore) just aren't cutting it for me.

I love Mai Shiranui, but come on guys - we need a new game with her.

^ I agree.

But I do have to say, the now-a-days fighters aren't to shabby. Mortal Combat Deception was great. But don't look to online play, that's where it sucked... though it was the first fighter that was playable online. I'm sure they will prefect it on day.

Deception was good, but for 2d fighters you might as well get mugen for that. Speaking of Mugen someone is working on a game called Marvel vs SNK.

I think I tried to get Mugen once, but it wouldn't work on my computer. I checked out the forum link you posted, and it looked pretty cool what one of the guys was trying to do, but it seemed kinda' odd -- one of the guys further down had a picture which resembled the one you posted, but he used characters that were drawn in 4 different art styles, so it looked really weird.

MC: Deception was pretty good - I didn't play Deadly Alliance, but Deception I rented and I really enjoyed it (although the... um... the story mode thing they had with Shinjuko was pretty cool, but needed to be a little livelier). Shinjuko was an excellent character when you finally get him - I think I enjoyed playing as Scorpion best in that game.

Some of the 3d fighting games are pretty good - MC: Deception, some of the earlier Tekken, and Dead or Alive: Ultimate as well as DOA: 4.

But as for 2d, I'd rather wait until some of the real pros start producing more 2d fighters. As much as I love Capcom, I honestly like SNK's lineup better, especially with their various Fatal Fury installments. Go Mai!

Then again, it's been years since I checked out Mugen, so I may browse the internet and look for a finished game...

Well you can play mugen it depends on what kind of pc you have. If you have a windows xp then there is winmugen. Capcom will only release a new 2d fighter sometime in the next 2-3 years when they have a new idea. Otherwise they will keep releasing crap like that last street fighter game for the ps2 which sucked

Okay, thanks for that info - I'll probably serf around the internet this afternoon and check up on some downloads. Eh, if I ever start working with it, who knows - maybe I'll bring Mai Shiranui back to stardome.

They have too many version of Mai shiranui. There are only a few completed games but I recommend you to just collect fighters and make your own mugen. That's what basically I'm doing, also I'm trying to learn how to create a stage.

check these vids out of other peoples mugen

So who thinks god of war 2 will be better than the first?

I think the second link looked real cool.

I personally am unsure whether God of War 2 will beat God of War 1. It has a lot to try and stand up to.

I take it you played GoW1, right? Did you unlock the movie about his brother? Interesting... boring, but interesting.

Don't get me wrong, it was interesting, but after playing through a game with non-stop action and power-packed cutscenes, I was expecting an explosive story, but didn't find it. So yeah, I personally thought it was boring, but interesting none the less.
