Maybe when it wouldn't be so disrespectful. Like, perhaps, if they had some Rich Player's Club going on.

Club Member #42: "I have 17,208 Gold right now!"
Club Member #18: "Oh yeah? Whell, I have 17,209 Gold!"
Killu: "I'm at L60." *casts Ultimate Omega Death Attack on all surrounding players*

Or just beat up the spoiled kids on WOW. A funeral I wouldn't do unless it wasn't a real funeral.

How pathetic that was. There's no humor in this at all, as fair as I'm concerned. I consider it as bad as breaking into a real funeral and doing dumb sh*t.

Do these people even have hearts?

I guess not, I bet they have to take sh*t in real life to unleash that anger and rage on a game.

I guess so. For some people, on-line games like this are all some kids have. Look at Runescape - everyone higher than level 30 is a jerk, and all of them do nothing but run around and call new people "n00bs". However, over two days of playing, and I'm not glad to say my character is level 8, and I PKed (Player Killed) a Lvl 7 guy who called me "n00b" on my first day. Revenge is sweet.

Hehe, WoW.

I laughed at that video. Mean? No, cause it's like setting up a funeral in the wilderness on Runescape and then telling everyone where you are.:\

So I assume you'd do the same thing if it were not in the game? That's essentially the same thing. This was a real funeral for a real person who really died in real life.

That is what is bothering me....I don't feel anything at all. I can't understand why everyone is acting the way they are. What I mean is everyone who's posted here is sad or thinks it's wrong, but I don't feel anything at all.

Um......I AM TUROK!

That is not the point. It was extremely disrespectful. They simply have no respect for grieving people.

I think you and everyone else who laughed at the video are very wrong. Extremely wrong. I can't even express that point enough.

Put yourself in their shoes. How would each and every one of YOU feel if that happened to you? I bet you wouldn't be F*CKING LAUGHING then, would you?

Or maybe you would. I don't know. But if you did after that, you would be a total joke.

I understand that this kid died, but they killed his WoW character. In a contested area. It was fair.

I didn't say "Kekekeke oh look they grave robbed that kid in real life."

It's more of an insult that they put his funeral in contested land, so that a big clan coming to kill people was even a possibility.

I'm not laughing at the fact the kid died- just the stupidity of his/her friends for putting a funeral in a PVP area.-_-

Would it be fair to say that if you played WoW, and were part of the group, you would have attacked the funeral?

Actually, my friend plays WoW. Her clan was attacked by the attacking clan(which is all pretty much level 60, hence why they have nothing better to do than attack lowbies). Yeah, it's safe to say they're a bunch of idiots.

But for that poor kid who died- why the hell put a funeral in contested land and post on the forums? This is mean, but a lot of jackasses(among some more intelligent people) play WoW. Major error on their part.

I wish death upon no one, and I won't be doing that here. I do respect the guy that died. BUT- dying in a WoW PvP server is as common as table salt. It's called being "ganked"(jumped by higher levels) or so I hear. So what was done there would be pretty much an everyday occurrence.

And yes, to add reason, I agree that I'm being a semi-asshole here. But I can't fake emotions. And I wouldn't have done what that clan did. Simply because of my attitude in MMORPGs.

I can sympathize with revulsion from the moral concerning those who are, by the moral's reasoning, amoral, but really?, just as bad as if I were to go to your friends, or father's, funeral and defile his body before you and everyone that ever meant anything to the aforementioned deceased?

I suppose if that's how you feel I'll just have to accept it as intensely odd.

Mentioning it on the message board would be the best way to let people know about the funeral. I mean you can't exactly put this big billboard in every major city.

And I don't know where the funeral took place, but I would assume it was a better place to hold a memorial than some dingy friendly town that most people have seen during the first 20 hours of gametime.

I don't consider it odd at all.

Consider that this person had friends from all over the world. They could not make it to the funeral. So, in their own way, they held a memorial service for their comrade online.

Their friend's avatar was a symbol OF that person.

I find it horrible that some people saw these people planning something for their friend and plotted and calculated to hijack it and ruin the event.

You missed the symbolism of the event, I believe. As I said above, it wasn't the killing of the character as the defilement of a symbol and what it represented.

And yes, I agree with you that they are assholes.

She is right, having the funeral in a area where anyone can attack you. It should've been within the city or towns. That way it wouldn't come to a ambush

Regardless, it's still a very important memorial service. Even if it was in a place where they could get attacked, it's still wrong to interrupt something so important.

You may think it's wrong to interrupt something like that. I do too, partially. It's like watching a train wreck.

But there is nothing against it in the TOS, especially on a PvP server.

I've also played some WoW on my friend's account. Those "dingy beginner towns" look nice to me. And, the place where I started was desolate.
