Just think of the head start it will give you in understanding Computer Programming Logic!

Of course there is a lot of data. How else can you do complex things?

It may take 3 to 6 months to reach a point of being fluent with most aspects of the game making tool. I have had it since December, 2004 and still have not actually finished a game!

I also still struggle with certain aspects of it.

But the fact that people are still finding new and truly impressive tricks with it (Look at Tetris!) shows that with a good deal of study you can make this system do whatever you want.

So go buy RPGM3! Make the same damn game everyone else who has 3 is making!

Or be original, work hard, and use the Ruler of The Console series: RPGM2.

It's up to you.

I say you have not given it anywhere near enough time to be getting frustrated.

But that is just me. Only you know what is right for you.

On the bright side, the sample scripts are horribly confusing. Do not use them as an example!

Do you have a file transfer thingy?

There are many good example games with no password people have made. My own included (It is just a demo, with an update due out soon after I grow less lazy!).

Do you have the Prima Guide? I hear they have it available for download now!

Keep at it!

Peace.

I've had it since Day 3. On account that it didn't appear at Slackers until 3 days after the release date. At first I was sorely disappointed in it, and thought that it was both incredibly difficult to get used to and somewhat limited. There are a few annoying limitations (I want to make a city level!) (Oh wait, I can make a city level. Just not with the building editor.), but it's way more powerful than most of us thought at first (it was said there was no confusion stat, for example; there isn't by default, but it can be done). I really wish I had put more time into this. I have yet to make a game on it, and I only figured out the VFX editor a couple months ago.

It was more confusing when it first came out; I think all of us were expecting something easier like the first RPGM1. I had to back when it came out, but I didn't use it for the longest time. It wasn't until too long ago that I picked it up and learned everything about it.

(Duelpro, you stole the "Gyah!!" from me. I'm suing for the rights - I want $1,000,000 and for 10 cuban revolutionists to be freed.)
