I played simcity 2000, hated it to death, never touched a sim title yet.

So, are they completely different?

I only play SimCity 1. It's easy to get into and fun to play. After that, the series got super-complicated and tiring to play.

Anybody play the SNES version of SimCity? I haven't, but I understand one of the catastrophes you can have is a giant Bowser trampling on the city. No joke.

Before I say this, I just want you to know I mean no disrespect to anway... but:

If you have to play a game that simulates every day life, you that's exactly what you need to get.... a life.

"oh no, my bladder if full... I hope I make it to the restroom in time"

^seem so much more fun than saving the world... what was I thinking!

So you can guess I never got into the "city" versions of the sims... but I'm guessing they can't be as bad...

Oh, but you're not just controlling one person, you're controlling a whole group of people. Plus, you can force them to go to work while you find the best way to put their house on fire.

Yea... I would find any means possible to run amok. I took great pleasure in constructing a house that was a very small (and had no exits) in which a sim would throw a fit till he died of starvation while laying in his own bodily waste.

Which you can't do in real life without serious repurcussions.

OMG, you make the most valid point to favor the Sim's side that I have ever heard... That means that playing sims is now only slightly better than pulling out your own teeth with a rusty pair of plyers.
