So... Does nobody doubt I can quote most things from Super Mario RPG? I must've said it was my first RPG and that I played it to death too many times.

Faced him, beat him, multiple times. Though they butchered the FF4 boss theme. Didn't affect me at first, since I hadn't played FF4 before. But now that I can compare, it's really disappointing. Would've been better had they used an actual character from the game, instead of some weird alien thingy.

Ha, me too. I only played ff4 after final fantasy Chronicles came out, which was much later than Mario RPG. Culvex was that optional boss, I think.

Did someone say lazy shell?

"Lazy" as in for people who want to beat the game real easy. Equip it on Peach...er, Toadstool, and you're pretty much invincible. At least with the armor version. I ignored it on my last playthrough, though. The Ultra Hammer and Hero wear was good enough for me. Really ramped up the end difficulty. (Though I kinda skipped half the battles in the game, too.)

^ wow, I found myself really never running from fights. If you can beat it with half exp then what I did when you beat smithy, then that's something to boast about. My final party was Mairo, Peach, and Geno... maybe throw in Bowser for Geno, or Mallow for Peach... if I feel spicy that day

Well, unfortunately I was forced into using Peach at the end. I died so many times trying to use Mallow as primary healer. Couldn't even get past Smithy's first form.
