What's a good set of starting attribute #'s?

Is there a site which has a ****-load of FAQs on RPG Maker 3? I admit i gave up after prowling through the forums after 30 minutes. Laziness? Maybe. ADD? Definitely.

Is the truth to the rumors of an RPG Maker 4 for the PS3?

RPGM4 hasn't even been announced in Japan yet. With the exception of the higher-ups like Valkysas, we know absolutely nothing about it other than it's being made.

I don't think there's any sites with FAQs on RPG Maker 3, because the game itself is pretty straight-forward. I heard there was one in development, but I don't know how far it's done.

Did you need to know something in particular?

I'm looking for tutorials that are grouped together, making it easier to read through you know? :)

What do you need tutorials for? you gotta narrow it down if you want help.

as for the next RPG Maker, nothing has been announced publicly or privately about what platform it will be for (or anything else about it, for that matter). We only know that they're making a new RPG Maker because well... thats what they do. they're always working on new installments.

If you need good starting numbers for attributes like Strength, HP, etc, look at the sample game.

I find balancing that part to be the single hardest part of game making.

Because there is no access to the formulas used by the computer we all just use trial and error.

Lots of test play is the only way to find out.

Good Luck with it.

Peace.

What do I want tutorials for? Obviously for help...variables, events, proper attribute settings. I'm going in blind w/o an instructional manual.

I've found that starting all my characters with 50 pts distributed to the 5 stats (STR, DEF, MAG DEF, AGI, MAG) works fairly well. That way, they can all start out nearly the same, but some progress more quickly in different areas.
And Rodak is right...balancing is all about trial and error...the most time consuming and tedious part of designing your game.
