Well, I've done it. I've decided to make a really cool game using the RPGM2 engine. It'll take a while, and I've yet to come up with a story, but I wanted to ask some of the pros in here a question.

How do I make a Final Fantasy Tactics style battle system? I've got some awesome looking "field" dungeon maps, and I need to create a custom battle system for all of the fighting in the game.

How in the world do I do that? Any tips? Anyone have any manuals or videos? Any help whatsoever will be appreciated.

There is just way too much stuff involved in creating somehting so unique...

Do a search here and at Doan's for "Tacticts" or "Tactical" to see a few efforts and why I say that.

Someone is working on a guide for such systems and the best bet is to wait for that.

Making a short, fun, game to get used to the controls before attempting such a massive task is a good idea!
