apparently, the 360 is getting a LOT of hacking already...

doesnt it seem dumb to build them almost the same as pc's, but then prevent any possibility of updating their hacker protection?

Well alot of game systems get hacked, look at the psp for instance. You can put on your games on a memory stick and play them rather than carry around the umd disc. The nintendo ds can play ds roms if you have something to do that.
