Rpg maker 1 and RPG maker 2000

I'm a little confused. Is RPG maker 2000 the same as RPG maker 1? They both look exactly alike. Can someone please shed a bit of light on this?

Two totally different games...er, tools. And they don't really look the same, other than they're both 2D.

Can I still post 2000 games up here? I can't buy that as it is an American game and have no idea on how to put it onto the computer.

If you really want to use a PC RPGM, go to download.com and get RPG Maker XP.
