The general answer is to add a mode.

I hope that is enough to get you started.

I would need more info to get more detailed.

Oh yeah. I forgot about modes. That's probably because I have no clue how to use them. And I'm dumb. The NPC that triggers an event stays there even after the event is over and I want him to disapear so the event doesn't repeat itself.

Do you want the NPC or The Event to disappear?

Or are they the same thing?

Anyway...

Just add a second mode to whatever you want to vanish (if it is an NPC set the Mode Editor to Display Off) if it is a standard event, script Display Off into it's last action of mode 1 then add mode to make it vanish.

That should cover it.

My brain is swimming in RPGM2's VFX EDitor right now. The Guide is now in Labor and about to Give Birth to itself.

Hey... If The Universe can give birth to itself, so can a guide!

i added another mode and i used display off for the npc just like you said. but it still wont work

You may be missing the last line of Mode 1, which Rodak mentioned.

The last line of your event code in Mode 1 should be:
Add mode -> event name

You will find Add Mode under the "Property Control" options.

This will switch the mode of the event to mode 2 (assuming that you created a mode 2 from the "event code settings" screen)
