I got this idea a day ago. I am a big fan of mountain dew. favorite beverage. Now one guys quest is to have an MD. herea the story..

One day in a town called Dew town, a mman wakes up from a good nights sleep, He goes to his vending machine and discovers that all of the
MD is gone!!!!!! Now he is on a quest to get an MD. what he dosent know is he is going to be involved in a much bigger event. A company trying to destroy MD!!! the company is called.....EVIL COLA CO. ........The president of this evil company...... General Diet!! Now watch as an adventure unfolds, many features inside.....

- Romance(between a soda of course)
-action
-Drama
-DIET COLA, THE ULTIMATE WEAPON TO STOP MD!!

NOTE: People that drink only diet soda should not play this game(kiddin)

Game Realese: 1 month after the fairy gods realeses
Game length: short (small project people)

- Get that MD!!!! (mini game)
- The 7up troops ( our hero joins them for a while)
- Pepsi mountain (where a great battle takes place)

It's a cool idea, but it's been done before. Check out Dewquest. It's a quest all about obtaining Mountain Dew.

thanx!!! whats funny is that i was drinking a mountain dew at lunch
and talking about rpg maker 1 at the same time with my friends. Then i got an idea about
how these 2 could mix well. i gave it some thought and came up with it.
but of course its a small project which means it is short ok. Don't expect
it to be a huge 3 hour epic quest. sorry if you dont like it being short.
its just that some game are good at the beginning but slowly decays into
nothing. SMALL PROJECT OK. But thats the least of my worries. I still got to finish my full epic game "The Fairy Gods" (theres a topic for it)

Personally I don't like soda, it's like a shot of carbonic acid every drink. And mountain dew is nasty anyway.

But, I could see a game being amusing if done right. Why not get the other one and see how they did it. Then do your game that will be about the same topic, but completely different and much better. If you make sure your not just remaking a game, it would be fun.

Dew Quest is a famous old RPGM1 game. That is why anyone who started with RPGM1, would know of it.

I played most of the first one. I think there was a sequel, but I'm not sure.

If anything, you can call your game DewQuest III: The unofficial sequel to DewQuest I and II.

Or make it a sub quest in your new game and call it a tribute to the previous Dew Quest.

But there is no need to trash an idea just because it's been done.

Just acknowledge your predecessor and do your thing.

It's only a problem if people "Steal" such things.

By acknowledging the previous one, you avoid that.

Have fun whatever you choose to do.
