It's near the bottom of the graphics submenu, I think.

Hard to recommend RPGM3 to anyone. Unless you're willing to make a game that has no action sequences of any sort outside of the battle system, I'd probably avoid it.

Its easy and can be a good introduction to the series. But, the biggest flaw for me is (^) no ability to move for sequences. In RM1 you could control their movements and such. Plus, the battle system in 3 sucks donkey balls to put it bluntly.

But it does have its plusses. 3d graphics and one of the best map editors...the 2d scenario cards are nice. I'd buy it just to own, and be familliar with, all 3. Doesn't hurt to know it right?

(I own RPG Maker 1 - and had a blast making a couple of games with it. I had RPG Maker 2 but got super frustrated with it and sold it. I'm sorry I did now that I can see how awesome it can be.)

If you have the money to spend, and are willing to treat RPG Maker 3 as a new game, without going in with any preconceptions, go for it.

I bought RPG Maker 3 at the end of last year. When I first tried it out, I was a little let down by some of its limitations, but now I have two different games in the works that I'm making for some friends. It's fun, and like with the RPG Maker 1 game, the more you work with it, the more ideas and the more excited you get. I'd say try it.

I reiterate what Draygone said, it's near the bottom of the graphics submenu.

And Thank You!!

I am writing up a Visual Effects Editor Guide and Never thought to include that information!

Expect a first draft in a couple weeks.

Two may be giving you trouble due to fear of experimentation.

If you were willing to at least look at where each menu option leads when you first get the game you would have found it quickly.

Unless you are looking for acronyms. I hate acronyms and rarely use them without first saying out what they stand for (and I wish everyone would adopt this protocol) (I took forever to learn that HUD, as used on these boards, was NOT the Department of Housing and Urban Development). So do not look for "VFX" Editor. It is properly called "Visual Effects" in the sub - menu.

If you still can't find it... ummm... Take up Zoophilia.

It's a way of life.

As for 3, get it only if you have the money.

I do not hate it, but plan on putting it down after one game, never to return (except as a tool for playing other people's games). I had expectations which were shatterred by this release.

It would not bother me if they called it something else, but by calling it 3 they implied much more than this delivers.

I know in Japan it was Not part of the regular series, and that is how it should have been released here.

It is fun, but the complete lack of customization of any graphics is annoying.

All these games look alike.

I know because I am taking screenshots for every posted RPGM3 game at The Pavilion and I see this first hand.

But it is far easier than 2. Only because they removed all those confusing commands that made it so great.

Oh well...

Peace.
