Okay now, since my last update of the list, I have ventured outward in my quest to get a list free of demographics and just representing what the people in general want. I still have no end to justify my means, but this has never stopped me before so I digress...

...the real point is that since my (what ultimately boiled down to) rejection at the Pavillion due to the sheer number of these threads already in existence, I went to the domain...I was more than satisfied with their entries to say the least. They were in depth, and obviously they had been mulling over them for months before the question was posed. Some of them are long...but they are in general valid points that should be given due consideration. So, the list can still grow...anymore?

Here's a list of the main things I would like to see in the next game if they decide to make another one( which I very highly hope agetech does) RPG Maker 3 I like alot because its 3d and I hope they stay with it, I also like they feild editor and the story teller which is much easier along with the events too...well I shouldnt go on and on about rpgm3 so heres the list....

1) Character comostobility. examples- More comstobility as in eyes, noes, hair, hats, outfit( it would be nice to have many differnet things t match up like belts and shirts,bags...), accesories( so you can actually see the armour and weapon your wearing)

2) Have the feild editor so you can see where your customizing the land and what type of land...like rpgm2's but easier like rpgm's.

3) Building editor. examples- many many diferent shapes and sizes of concrete, stone, wood, brick and also windows, doors ect.

4) keep the storyteller from rpgm3 but make it so theres more sences and muzic in the background

5) costomize monsters- color shape size texture power hp mp stuff like that

6)dungeon editor- all I rilley want to change is a few more textures for the walls and cellings but keep it the same so its easier like rpgm3's

7) costomizible wepons- You should be abel to make your own wepons and change their shape, color and accesories on them

thats all I have right now thanks for reading I hope you take this into consdieration if you decide to make RPGM4

hey valkysas good to see you on the boards lol the only places Ive seen you is ign and pavillion

I am surprised nobody mentioned some other things that would be possibe on RPGM if it were for the DS.

Draw your own sprites

Wi Fi

Record sound effects

Type with the touch pad

It wouldnt be as good on PSP.

Honestly, I prefer RPGM1 over any other. Any one of them on PS or PC. I don't much care for graphics or anything (don't get me wrong, cause you, at least, need good visuals). It's all about the story. As far as programming goes. I think if Agetec makes there commands similar to Microsoft's Visual Basic, we'd all be a bit happier.

^is an incredibly brilliant man.

I've been saying it all along: "RM1 is the god"...I love it because it is the best way to just tell a grand story: with the best graphics imaginable. I just can't get enough 2d love...

Glad to know I'm not alone... thanks.

Me and two other guys are working on our game right now. One of us has written a book (unpublished). But I have to say he has a way with words. If it's a story you want, we will have it. The only problem is that we are only half way done and we've already filled up our fith card of scenario data. I'm actually worried that my system data might top 15 blocks...

But anyway, that's not going to be done till very late this year. But to the topic at hand: to second what I've said, if agetec worried less about how graphically intense it was and more about programming commands... and their battle system needs touching up a bit.

Enterbrain could make a great-looking RPGM with plenty of functionality. The RPGM between our RPGM1 and 2 was a great-looking RPGM with, as I understand it, much butter functionality than RPGM1.

Off-topic, I think the longest RPGM1 game so far was something around 9 scenario cards, though I'm not certain. Mine would've been 10 or so had I gone through with it. I'd go through with it right now, but I like to be able to move more than one character at once.

^^Can't wait to play your game...I do need a new Dex Drive though...And my new RM3 game is based off of a novel of mine too actually. RM3 isn't quite the perfect system for a long game though...and I'm having troubles, that I employ every tactic possible to overcome. But I have a list of games to make, and it was Wherever I May Roam's turn when I got RM3-so I gotta make it...

And I loved RM2 for its customization capabilities, but I couldn't stand to stare at those graphics for longer than 30 min...

Since we are on the topic of RPGM2... I'll take this oppertunity to grip about how little you could put on a single map. Too much and the camera would get choppier than a nervous dude with a studdering problem.

The ability to take screenshots of your game to be displayed during the end credits like in RPG maker 1.

How about an RPGM with an Easy and Hard mode, similar to RPGM2. Here's the deal.

Easy mode would be much like creating a game on RPGM1. All the options were basic enough to understand, yet there were enough options to make a decent game. Of course, we need a few of the newer options that RPGM2 provided, such as variables, a few new camera movements, floating commands, displaying VFX... None of the ultra-confusing stuff like "Check Who Goes Next" and "Substitute Variable for whatever" (except keep the ability to check a character's or event's positions). Creating monsters should be done in one section instead of three; choose a graphic and animations, create the stats, choose its attacks, like in RPGM1. Event creation should be also like in RPGM1, where you go to a map, choose where you want the event to be, make the event's statistics, and create the script from within the event. And especially map creation and object placement should be in one editor; positioning everything just right isn't so easy when you have to travel back and forth between map creation and object placement. And forget the "World Organization". It should set that stuff up automatically, again, like in RPGM1. Of course, creating a new character should automatically give it the preset scripts; we shouldn't have to copy and paste characters in order to make them work right. Item creation and magic creation should once more be like in RPGM1.

Hard mode would be like RPGM2. Everything that RPGM2 had should be available in hard mode. Yes, including the multi-stage processes of monster creation and all that.

And, of course, a few extra graphics (cow) and options (I want to have that dragon monster as a party member) would almost be a necessity. Maybe even an optional storyteller feature like in RPGM3, except with 2D art that actually MATCH their 3D counterparts, and different expressions for the art as well so the whole thing doesn't look so static.

Needless to say, keyboard support is a necessity in both modes. But how about also being able to display buttons (O, [], Up, Start, etc.) as text or 2D pictures?

I think downloading music would be a good idea.
To the PS2. How about talking in battles?
"I'm going to kill you" And the monsters like
"Not if I kill you first." I think that would be cool.

I don't see voiceovers being possible any time soon, personally. They'd take up way too much memory, even if you limited it to a few speech samples like grunts and taunts.

Except in RMXP. It's possible in it. It takes up memory, but in this case it would only be a problem with download time.

I would like to see beter graphics and more creatures/caharacters. They should also come out with one for the ds. Now because the next system is the ps3 the graphics ahve to be better i heard its going to play the best graphics ever. Anywho yeah better graphics and easier eventing like on rmxp. They should come out with one for the pc and xbox too called Pc game maker do they dont get sued by rmxp ppl lol anywho those are my thoughts. Uploading music is a good idea. Also uploading character sets. They can sell more character sets on the net and then u upload them using you camera or somthing. Now if it was on the comp u can have voice overs lol. They could put the microsoft text to speech thing with voices so it doesnt take up as much space simply type in a message and chose a voice style then bam it automatically places it in there. Title sceens would be good a title screen where u can slect start game continue... And u can edit what the menu says in the game.
