I'm sorry but... geeze Disney. Way to go. :lol

But hey, we knew it wasn't the broomstick at least. That guy is the awesomest character in Fantasia. If you don't agree, you're Broomist. :evil

I always loved that movie...and from the looks of it she was better off out of it.

I loved the final scene, with the demon on the mountain...the pegasus one was sweet...oh yeah, dinosaurs to...and that weird hippo/alligator thingy.

Well, she was in the original cuts, but when they brought it home for video, they decided against it. :p

and this is a big deal because? So, disney is denying she was in it... its not the end of the world >_> prolly does't make much of a difference in the movie either... either its a big deal about nothing or im really dense or too apathetic about their "denial" of this character.

I love the end part with the devil and all his little demens things flying around and what and then the little guys with lights and the peacefulness etc etc. and second most part i liked was dance of the hours with the elephants in their bubbles - they were so cute. but i always rewind it at least once and watch the ending again whenever i watch it.

I never said it was a big deal. I personally don't care too much. I was just noticing how Disney was fitting in with the times when they released it, that's all.

Some black guy served me some orange juice one time.

Is that racist?

I didn't think so.

No, you're not. It just that disney used stereotypes for those times.

I don't like cut/edited scenes beyond the original release. I have a VHS of Homeward Bound from way back when. One day after getting it, they were showing it on TV. There must've been nearly 15 minutes of stuff that was cut out from the video.

On the reverse side, some TV channels seem to cut out scenes simply to make the movie fit in the 2-hour slot with commercials. I know I saw Home Alone 2 once with a few scenes no longer in it, most notably when Kevin's dad found out how much Kevin spent in that hotel.

Outside of movies, Disney also edited the scene of Ellisa laying in her own blood after getting shot in the episode Deadly Force (it had been viewed in full earlier). In Awakening Pt 4, for some reason on Toon Disney they zoomed in to hide that the last commando was reloading his gun. Lucky for me, all scenes were intact for the DVD release.:)

But yeah, stuff like this really iffs me. And in Fantasia in particular, I'm sure the entire deletion of the scene had to have made a hiccup in the music before they put it back in but zoomed in.

Like Taizon said, it's not the action, it's about the stereotype. A big-lipped, Amos and Andy-looking, nappy-haired (and generally made-to-be-ugly) black centaur is taking care of a pretty, blonde-haired white centaur. I also don't see any money being exchanged like it would be in your situation. :p

It was very racist and stereotypical, but as I mentioned to Goth, it was also the '30s. All of that stuff was the norm. It's not today, so I don't have a problem with it.

Some of those stereotypes happen today but in different areas of the world. There are plenty of stereo types for all races.
