Here are a few ideas I have for my first few games...

Ok so I got this idea from a game at this site.The idea of the game is to simulate vitrual life.A sim game such as this could be made best on RPG Maker 2.More options,makes for a better game)I am giving the game the name:The L.I.F.E. version 2.0.Of course I know you don't care about this,so let me move on to the features of the game.In the game you can do anything imaginabale!(Well...except shooting someone)This game is going to be something like the Sims,GTA and Animal Crossing combined!Some elements from GTA and Sims will be put in the game such as stealing someones stuff,killing someone and getting arrested.Animal Crossings elements in the game include building your own house,burring stuff E-Mailing people.Sort of)
Anyways this seems like a good game to me what do you think.This game is a good idea for beginers like me!

My other idea was a Animal Crossing game for RPG Maker 2.Since the sprites look alittle like animal crossings' it'll be perfect for RPG Maker 2!Of course you should know all the features of this game.Of course the animals are gonna be a problem to find but, oh well.Anyways I will add my own stuff to it like new events on certain days of course!Like a car race and a submarine race.I know that many people who played the game found it very limited to expand your house and a little small so I am going to add 10 new expandtions so you can make a manshion!This project seems to be a good a idea and I will diffenitly be making it!

Of course I had to add a idea I had in the past:...Well actually 2:Poke'mon and a Monster Rancher game.Of heard your replies on the subject and thought I should let you all know it is a possibility of me making that game.So many people whoever have a problem of stats and adding and stuff.Well I won't quit on these to games.
The first game I already planned:Poke'mon Jade.This game will be ALOT different from the other games.I might add a storyline to it involving a charcter iv'e been planing to be in the game called Vain.So far I only made up that he is after the two corperations Sigma Red and Sigma yellow, so he can stop their plans of recoving Poke'data to a project poke'mon called Mecha Jade.So far that sounds lame and so let's leave it at that.
Then, there is monster rancher.Sadly I have never played any other monster rancher game other than the card games and monster rancher explorer.If you know something about Monster Rancher let me know.

And I posted my idea of a racing game on IGN boards called "Sigma Kart Racing for RPG Maker 2 which is the first ever racing RPG.Sadly I am tired and don't feel like typing anymore for today so good-bye!

This may sound like odd advice (but I'm odd so it's OK), but pick your least favorite and make it first.

I wound up trying to make The Clean Underwear Quest when I first got RPGM2 last Christmas and made a huge mess of a wonderful story.

Debugging is a nightmare. Especially when your game has every script you made since day one with the system.

That's why I started on Videogamedrome, it was to see what I could do with a blank file. I found that I could do so much more without all the bugs from my early scripts that I am considering starting The Quest over from scratch because I can make it better now. I'll just spend a week deleting everything except those VFX I'd never be able to recreate (and the few good scripts and cutscenes).

But your ideas are all sound and could all be done with RPGM2!

I have not played the games you mention as inspiration, but I've seen the commercials. If I had to pick one I'd say Animal Crossing if you could get a good Cow in there:

I was gonna get the game today but, I can't.I might get it a day this week in fact.So I decided to make a shooting game if I get RPG Maker 2 from my comic I'm making called Ziden.And if I get RPG Maker 3 I am going to do a game about his arch-enemy:Zadine.So I will post when I get the game.

I decided since I am getting the game tommorw decided I should hurry up and decide the first games I will make.So they are:

Giganoris:Mana evoultion
The L.I.F.E.
Zadine

If I get RPG Maker 2 I will make:

Legend of Zelda:Trapped in time
The L.I.F.E
Poke'mon Jade
