The idea is, it is a revolution, against normal system progression where the games look better but mostly play the same as they did the last two generations.

Well, that is the way Nintendo works. Anyone who playstheir games know they are all about innovation and gameplay, not graphics and power like the 360 and PS3.

Do not mention such filth as the 360 in a vieable contention of reputable systems.

The DS is doing remarkably better than the PSP at the moment... even though Nintendo handhelds have been valued over the actual consoles recently, I think this innovation could work. It's a step for them to get originality back.

I do not fault Nintendo for innovation, but I think that one thing they misjudge about the public is our faith. There are us faithful few who hold strong against obvious change, but in many cases at the smell of difference the society will find comfort in familliarity. Which in essence makes Nintendo the Rebels in this confrontation, the underdogs. But then you look at there track record, and it all evens out-Nintendo bounces back. Its what they've always done. They bring in utter ingenuity or blatant disregard for the norm and turn it into a winning combination. Many doubted the gamecube, lots of people are stupid in this world.
The only problem I have with it is that the design is to simillar to a typical tv remote-kinda boring looking.

you'll be able to tell the rev owners though...

they'll have big beefed up forearms from all that waving the remote around.

Well they could in fact be rev owners, or porn freaks.

Haha. At least Nintendo made it so the controller can also be a normal one instead of a creepy remote that will make you look like a psycho.

Hey, that pic is what IGN thinks it will look like. I saw the same thing in one of their articles talking about the Rev's controller.

Quite possibly, no. It looks too similar to the GameCube controller. And while the controller is quite nice, one could simply plug a GameCube controller directly into the Revolution.

Oh, ya! Nintendo said you will be able to use Gamecube controllers for the Revolution. They are doing this because if you don't have any money for a Rev. controller, you can just use your old Gamecube controllers. They like making their stuff inexpensive for us so they can get more customers. I like the way they think... :D

Actually I think that's mostly for GameCube games, since the Revolution will be directly backwards compatable with GameCube games (none of that downloading stuff for the S/N/ES/64).

The Rev. can download NES, SNES, and 64 games via the internet and it can play Gamecube and Rev. games through the discs. It can also play DVDs and it should have a built in Gameboy player, allowing you to play any Nintendo game ever.

Well yeah, I meant you could play GameCube disks on it, as opposed to having to download all the pre-GameCube games.

Built-in GBPlayer? Doubt it.
