I am personally getting sick of the Microsoft Sony formula of releasing essentially the same crap over and over. :p

I never did like Microsoft. I think the PS2 is okay... but as far as handhelds go...

I am actually EXCITED to be getting a Nintendo console this Christmas. I haven't been excited like this since I got an SNES. The DS is a fresh breath of air in a soon to be turned stale market.

I'm expecting great things for the Revo- I'm pumped. The 360 just looks like a smaller X-Box, and the PS3 is being overhyped with framerates that the human eye can't even notice. There's features, but when I buy a gaming console I want to GAME.

The DVD player on the Ps2 was nice, but still- I don't need an internet browser in my handheld, that's what a laptop is for- I don't need music in it either, that's why MP3 players exist. I need games on my consoles. And not just mediocre ones, I want kickass games. And it just so happens that Nintendo wins my handheld bet since the only game I want for the PSP isn't even out for it yet- Valkeryie Profile. Meanwhile, the DS has easy 5 minute online play, Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, the Partners in Time games, an import rhythm title from Japan from the creators of Guitaroo Man, Meteos, and it will also be able to handle the GBA releases of FFIV-VI, and the FFIII remake... I think it augers well for the originality AND strong support in the DS department.

Certain developers are finally excited to be working on Revo titles as well, since it is most certainly a new realm to gaming, not just another controller rehash with more game rehashes such as Halo 4328428.

A web browser on the handheld is for the lazy people. I need to get a ds as well, there are a couple of things I want to play especially the new super mario bros.

I'm curious as to how you don't see my point about the graphics..
Well it seemed like you pointed out how the N64 wasn't as stylistic as part of Nintendo's fault. Nintendo didn't stop having stylistic games because they didn't care anymore. They stopped having stylistic games because you can't create stylistic games on 3D systems outside of the more-advanced-than N64/PS1 cel-shading technique.

Although, maybe I read it wrong, now that I look at it again. You're saying that Nintendo started focusing only on graphics while other companies were focusing on other stuff as well as graphics. I have to disagree. I've enjoyed almost every game that Nintendo has released since the SNES. Why almost? Well, there was Yoshi's Story. And Wind Waker was awesome until that stupid fetch quest near the end.

I will admit, I enjoy games from the NES and SNES era more than anywhere in the 3D era (with a few notable exceptions). But I feel that gaming has somewhat gone downhill since back then as a whole. Sure newer games are doing some things that weren't done much in the earlier days (like a larger focus on puzzles in certain RPGs), but otherwise things seem more generic than before. Either that, or it's just nostalgia.

They made up for the size difference with the power adaptor.
