Well, I got back from our Band Trip just yesterday. As a lot of you know, we took a trip to NYC to march in the MACY*S Thanksgiving Day Parade. (Yes, I recorded our TV appearence and will upload it soon.)

It was a fantastic trip. I live in a very small, northern Florida town about 20 miles from the Alabama border, so the gigantic-ness of New York was a new thing for me.

The weather was also quite different (basks in the Florida sun...yes...still 60 degree weather here.)

Oh, and Wicked was THE MOST AMAZING THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. ANYONE WHO LIVES/IS VISITING NEW YORK, GO SEE WICKED! (www.wickedthemusical.com)

Blue man group was fantastic as well!


The parade, well, it was fun but long. You might have seen on the news that the M&Ms baloon hit a light pole, knocking it on to some people. That was about half a block ahead of us, so we had to wait FOREVER for the ambulance to clear out, then it was literally a 5 block SPRINT to Herald Square (Broadway and 34th..w00t) we had bearly set up when we heard. "Crestview High School Big Red Machine in 5...4...3...2..1...*Whistle* and it was time to perform. That was a long day....woke up at 2:00 AM for rehearsal and didn't go to bed until midnight...just so we could wake up at 2:00 AM the next day to catch our flight home on the very cramped miami air planes we chartered.
