For RPGM 3
Original Release Date on Pavilion: Oct. 24, 2005
(Nov. 23, on Mag.)
By Alutra

I've been at the Pavilion for awile, But I thought I would share this game with you guys.

All that I will say about the storyline is that it is a dream.
I will let the story tell itself. If you like it, keep playing, if you hate it, feel free to recommend that I submit it for garbage.

Other than that, it’s pretty much just a strait forward traditional RPG, with some hidden goodies here and there. Don’t expect FF XIII. Don’t expect something really innovative. It’s just me getting my feet wet with the software…

If you are a curious player, you will have to do little or no running around just to level up.
Pay attention to clues, keep your eyes open, and this will be an easy game.

I was originally planning on making a 1-2 hour game, but somehow it’s more like a 7-8 hour game. Whoops.

Just goes to show how fast games can be made with RPGM 3. (I’ve worked on it almost every day since RPGM 3 was released. By the way, I did zero preplanning for this game. It was all written on the fly, using RPGM 3 as a sketch pad.)

I playtested it from beginning to end multiple times, hopefully producing a smooth, balanced, bug free game. I really liked the result.

I did try to use lots of time/season/whether FX.

There are a lot of skills/spells. (Over 40) This allows for many variations on battle strategy. In fact, with a new skill/spell at each level up, and new monsters with different strengths/weaknesess in each area, you will be constantly shifting your battle strategy around.

The character classes are very complementary to each other, each is
Bad-ass in its own way. I tried to create a very team oriented battle setup.

ANYONE IS WELCOME TO USE ANY OF THE DATA IN THIS GAME FOR THEIR OWN GAME. ALL OF THE DATA IS 100% CREATED, NO SAMPLE DATA USED.

Any feedback positive or constructive would be much appreciated.

So take a break from designing, and try Forgotten Isle…
