Hit a big milestone this week as I achieved my 50th PSN Platinum trophy by finishing up Atelier Totori Plus on Vita and focusing on pretty much nothing else all week. Also obtained the Stella Glow demo on 3DS, River City Super Sports Challenge ~All-Star Special~ on PS3 and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter on PSP.

The tricky part now is trying to decide what to focus on next.

Actually managed to come out on top this week as the only new title I purchased was Mushihimesama on Steam and beat that quickly along with playing through Etrian Odyssey Untold 2's Story mode and beating the main game. Will hopefully have post-game done in a day or two and will be ready to move on to something different.

Most the time, I just poke around in multiplayer games that don't have real progression that I can report on. MKX, Rocket League, etc. But I have been playing Triforce Heroes. And with friends is a great time, but that's it. Playing with random players or in single player... and it's the most frustrating game I've played in at least a decade. And I mean like, legitimately mad. I mean, I can get put on tilt in games pretty easy (the races are proof enough of that), but this is a whole new level. I ended up throwing my 3DS out of frustration at a player who absolutely could not understand what needed to be done to beat a boss. No combination of emotes that me or the other guy we were playing with could get him to get his ass in gear. And in single player was clearly tacked on at the last minute. Some of the things they expect you to do in single player is insanity and absolutely not worth playing.

To add to this frustration, the entire gimmick of the game is all based on these suits you can create by collecting materials. Once you complete a few levels, you get to pick between three chests. These contain two commons and a rare material. It's all chance. I once had to play a set of levels 3 times over because I ended up getting the rare twice in a row when I needed the common. And I was on single player. It's at this point I realized that it's just simply not worth it. The game can be completed without any of the suits. Their only job is to make things a little bit more convenient. But the inconvenience of getting the materials completely undoes what convenience you'd get from it after it's completion... so screw it. The only way I put suits together is the random chest house and the merchant. Using the Ruppee Regalia suit makes getting money just from the bushes outside the town insanely easy. So yeah, play with friends or don't play at all.

I've also been playing a lot of Binding of Issac: Afterbirth. During Rebirth, I managed Platinum God, which is completing absolutely everything in the game, sans The Lost's unlockables. But Afterbirth is probably where I'm going to draw the line. They introduce Mega Satan as a legit boss that has unlockables for each character. I've only beaten him twice in Rebirth since if you can fight him or not is entirely based on if you get certain items or not. They also introduced a new final boss called Hush. The only way you can get to it is by beating It Lives within half an hour. At least with Mega Satan, you can take your time and min/max your build. Hush is harder and you are not given time to explore every floor, so your build is shakey at best. The new Greed mode, however is really great. It's a much shorter version of a normal run, so you can put together a decent build in a much shorter time. It also introduces a risk vs. rewards system with money.

Ultimately, Afterbirth was worth the 6 bucks, but I probably won't be going for 100%. Beating Mega Satan and Hush with every character is where I draw the line. Not to mention there's a glitch with the import save option so I would have to re-beat The Lamb and ??? with every character again... which I don't really feel up to.

Been another fairly stable week as I finished Etrian Odyssey 2's Story Mode 100% and calling the game there as replaying it on Classic mode only changes up the party while pretty much everything else stays the same.

Also downloaded and beat 3D Fantasy Zones I and II and they're both pretty good if you're an STG fan. While there, I downloaded the Nintendo Badge Arcade. Didn't do too much with it until I won a $50 eShop gift card at a local event the other day and used most of it in there, gaining 200+ badges.

Other new arrival was the Wii+WiiU Rodea the Sky Soldier, which may be the only game I know of where the Wii version is superior to the WiiU version.

Aside from that, been focusing on Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 on Vita and about 3/4 through the main story.

Been a really good week:

* New purchases: Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash, fault milestone two side:above.

* Beaten+100% Completion: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1, 3D Sonic the Hedgehog, 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D Fantasy Zone II, fault milestone one, fault milestone two side:above.

Also traded in a bunch of games at Gamestop on Saturday, but most of them were games finished 100% that I never intend/expect to replay with two exceptions: One was Dragonball Xenoverse to upgrade from the PS3 to PS4 version, and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., which I only bought because of the Fire Emblem amiibo support but just never got the gumption to actually play.

Another good week as I picked up CLANNAD, Rise of the Triad, Undertale, and Chronicles of a Dark Lord: Rhapsody Clash off Steam plus Eiyuu Senki - World Conquest on PS3.

On the completion front I binge gamed pretty much all week to start and finish The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD with 100% completion then dove back in to Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate to finish all of its Story levels and other modes at least once. I don't plan to Platinum it so I called it good there but was still in a Musou mood so I ran through one of the Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Story mode campaigns to finish up the weekend.

Also started the full version of Stella Glow but haven't really been in an SRPG mood so I've switched over to Hyperdimension Neptunia Rebirth 2 for now as the on-the-go title. Not sure while I'll focus on for home console right now but this may be a good time to clean up some games that are beaten but not 100%'d.

You beat more games in a weekend than I do in a year.

Or rather, the original Visual Novel finally got an English release.

I have played a CLANNAD version of Spelunker too, but that was a doujin game.

SK and I recently played through System Shock 2. It was really interesting seeing where Bioshock got it's inspiration. The game is hard though. Very hard. I initially started off playing but gave up a good ways in and SK finished playing it. We ended up needing to save scum the entire game. It's amazing how similar the story progressed as compared to Bioshock and we were able to guess what would kind of happen. But even then, there were some pretty nifty plot twists. For a 1999 FPS, it's a good game, but it's age definitely shows.

Also, last night I finished Apollo Justice... which is the fourth game in the Phoenix Wright series. I was told that a lot of people passed this game by since you don't directly play as Phoenix Wright. And that is a travesty. If you have played the first three, you absolutely have to play Apollo Justice. It's much more canon that you'd think. It also has some of the best twists in the series. Unfortunately I can't say much more than that since anything more would spoil something. But it bears repeating to... pour a nuptial 40 on the stoop! Tru' dat!

Sorry I missed it! How'd you like finding out who Apollo's mother was?;)

POOR DAT 40 ON DA STOOP BROTHER. You'll love Dual Destinies~!

I should post. I haven't done so in a long time.

If you don't know, I'm Let's Playing Xenoblade Chronicles blind. And I'm on the last dungeon of the game currently. It is simply an excellent RPG and taking twists I never expected. The battle system takes some getting used to, but it is one of the most rewarding systems I have ever experienced in an RPG. Makes me super hyped for X!

I'm also working on Yokai Watch. I honestly feel is is a great and fun game. I don't know what chapter it is, but I'm on the one after you go through the school at night and watch the fireworks on the roof. It is a massive game with tons of sidequests and charm. I love it and can't recommend it enough to any 3DS user.

Myoky also convinced me(well I've also been meaning to get around to it) to start Fire Emblem Awakening. I like it so far, but I'm super early in the game!

People who dismiss Apollo Justice for that reason really are missing out. While the 3rd case is the one people dislike the most, the game does have the best 1st case in the series and the final case is just as good as any other game's final cases, especially in showing how long the consequences of an action can affect people.

Let's see that footage one more time!

But really, it's not any worse than the Blue Badger case in the first game.

It's not nearly as bad as Turnabout Big Top. Also, I really liked the concert case. It set up some really important stuff! Also Klavier character development.<3

Yeah. The 3rd case is only really annoying if you're tone deaf.

Xenonlade Chronicles X: I'm hooked with this game! I'm also slightly overwhelmed with all the things I could be doing in this game. I am pretty much going in blind, which is making me feel anxious since I hope nothing is missable.

Anyway, picked the Pathfinder division (It was so hard to choose!) and while I can switch, I want to commit to this one. Just unlocked th Duelist class, from the newbie friendly branch, and I just finished Chapter 5. A lot of stuff happened at the end of that Chapter, so I will be re exploring New LA to see what's new from the most recent, plot twisty developments.

Been a relatively quiet week as I've been focused on Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 and have gotten all of its endings while the remaining trophy for Platinum relies on a real-time based sidequest, so I'm mostly done with that as of yesterday.

New acquisitions this week have been Pokemon Picross (thus breaking my long-time goal to never buy a Pokemon game, but the Picross format is the only reason) and Xenoblade Chronicles X, both of which I dove into over the weekend.

I'll likely put Picross as my on-the-go title for the next while but I'm unsure about Xenoblade for the moment. I do want to take some time to clean up games I've beaten but haven't 100%'d yet, including Yoshi's Woolly World and DKC: Tropical Freeze.

I actually managed to hold on to my goal of no new games this past week but, at the same time, my only real progress has been the Platinum trophy for Neptunia Re;Birth2 courtesy of its real-time sidequest being done while I focused on others.

Only really been playing Pokemon Picross while on the go, but I'm about 2/3 done with its main game and pretty much all of my console time has been back on Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate as I've made the insane decision to go for its Platinum trophy. Made great headway there as the only ones left are completing all requests in Gauntlet mode and getting all 147 Mystic weapons, though those two may take longer than all the rest combined.
