I was thinking about that "I was such an idiot!" thread from a while back and want to open this one for stories that feel embarrassing at the time but aren't so much so now.

I was eating breakfast with the mother and then-fiancee at an IHOP when I spilled something on my hand. Since we were close to the restroom, I quickly ran in, washed my hands, and returned to the table to find the two of them chuckling. It turns out I'd run into the women's room. Thankfully no one else noticed.
