It seems I will be getting a PS4 soon and play nothing but Final Fantasy games on it (XV, Dissidia, an and now VII)

It's coming to PS4 first, but will probably be announced for either PC, Xbone, or both tomorrow at square's conference.

My PC will not be able to handle it (probably) and I've never own an X Box so...

IT'S HABBENING.

I recognized it as soon as I saw the playground slide. Lantis kept saying it was a FFVII sequel, it was hilarious since my stream was ahead and REMAKE was on the screen.

My main reason for wanting this game was that I never got to finish the original. I started three playthroughts, and I lost my files do to 1) memory card corruption, 2) family member overwriting my file 3) another memory card corruption
I gave up after that. But 4th time will be the charm!

I will only play for jiggling Tifa and Scarlet tits when they slap fight.

There's a whole lot that can be done with this. There's a great potential to do more than just update the graphics. And if that's all they do, then honestly, I don't see a point in making it in the first place. Most of use has played the game many many times already. Playing it again looking better isn't really going to be ground breaking.

They could entirely refine the materia system. I might not speak to highly of Crisis Core, but the materia system used in it was amazing. If they took that, changed it up a bit, and used that for the remake, that could be what it needs to really be different. If they use the old system, they need to really pull out a bunch of things. Final Attack and Big Guard are broken. They would also need to do something with summons, because honestly, they aren't any different from just spells. They just have more cinematic animations. If the limited them to one time use per battle like FFVI, or made them their own entity in battle like X or XII, that would be a really good change. And while I don't expect it, random encounters would really benefit from not being random anymore. It's one of the more modern changes to RPGs I've come to really like. And then there's more minor things that would really make this. Like updating chocobo breeding and racing. Making all the games in the Golden Saucer awesome, all that jazz. Honestly, the potential is great with this.

It's kind of in the air though, Square has a.... less than perfect track record. This is either going to be amazing, or horrible.

They just need to update it to have Danzig's "Mother" blast in the background every time you fight Jenova and when Sephiroth says "mother."

I'd be happy if it just gets a graphical overhaul. Looking back on the original versions of every game in the series I'd definitely have to say that 7's graphics have aged the worst outside of the CG scenes.

Then get the Steam version of FFVII and mod it. Doing JUST a graphical overhaul would be pointless.

Judging by the trailer, yeah, there's going to be some changes. Heck, a lot of the cutscenes from the original will only work in the original, due to the original playing up the anime-styled deformed characters. Biggest example:



I'd like to see how THAT sequence plays out with Advent Children graphics.

Now, MY biggest concern is whether the battle system will allow me to control my entire party, or if I'll only be playing as Cloud the entire time with my other teammates being AI controlled.
