I'm Brooke, Fay's girlfriend. I know about the Mag from Fay, obviously. I don't make videos, though Fay and I keep talking about LPing certain games together. I think we've done one. I also don't make games, but I do help Fay with her plots sometimes. I prefer writing.

I'm pretty casual about gaming, though I have gotten extremely angry at games before. I'm into the usual stuff: comics, anime, reading, plotting ways to torment my friends... Like I said, the usual.

Also, I can be utterly utilitarian so everything on my posts will be the default until Fay breaks down and makes it all pretty.

Oh, and I was wondering if anyone wants to start a pool on how long it takes for Ix to ban me.

Hello there, a new member here. I got the PS1 version of RPG Maker running nicely on my PSP, and I'm in the progress of making my first RPG.

Of course I'm new to the thing, it's a generally easy-to-use software, but Rome wasn't bulit in a day, and a RPG is not made in a few days.

I came here since this seemed like the best place for RPG Maker 1 users.

Indeed it is, and we've got at least a couple RPGM1 veterins here who could give you help if you need it.

Welcome to the Mag. =)

Thanks Dray. I'll naturally publish the game here and most likely in the Pavilion when it's done.

Hey there, just shooting out a mid length intro here, to keep it at least a little on point, will just say some stuff about myself via bullet points:

How I found RPGMM: The guest race SirRosser did with Lantis/Draygone/Ixzion/Kajak. Since then seen just about every other race as well, I tend to be a binge watcher of shows.

How I got started on RPGs: Would say my first actual RPGs were probably some old BBS ones, Legend of the Red Dragon, Land of Devastation, stuff like that. Those were closely followed by King's Quest and Space Quest series. Since then played many others, including an excessively long playing of Everquest.

Hobbies: Obviously video games and binge watching youtube. Aside from that, I enjoy ping pong/pickleball, and modding for various games. Have modded Starcraft/Brood War, Doom2, Quake in the past, and am currently modding Starcraft 2. Current main project there is Horologium RPG, a diablo-esque space age RPG. At least, when I'm not burnt out on it. Another thing I've been doing lately is figuring out how to do LPs, I made the unfortunate mistake of starting off with Ghosts N Goblins for the NES. Hopefully I can enjoy saner choices in the future!

Strange Factoids: Aside from being gifted with Aspergers, I also enjoy severe motion sickness, sensitivity to light, and Anthrophobia. Needless to say, I win all anti-social competitions! Stranger still, I prefer Zelda 2 to Zelda 1. Lastly, I have a ridiculous gift at breaking any game I play, if there is some unwinnable place to get stuck in a game, way to force myself to restart, I will find it, almost guaranteed.

My plans here: Plan to just attempt to hang out, enjoy a few RPGs, write some constructive reviews afterwards, that sort of thing. I've messed with RPG Maker Ace some, looks pretty interesting, but quite frankly I'm too invested in my SC2 RPG to even consider starting another project at this time. I might introduce it to my children if they take an interest in that sort of thing when they get a little older. Looks pretty user friendly for that sort of audience :)

Stopping myself here before this becomes a novel, will see yall around!

Welcome! Stick around. We might not post here as much as we should be we are usually in the chat, in a hangout, playing games online, or even at in person (usually at MagCon).

Hi guys. Some of you may remember me, I used to be robrush2, and I've been Really Awesome and Spectre.

I've been wanting to get back in to RPG Maker... I'm thinking I'll buy one of the PC ones... Which one should I get? I'm looking for one that you can play games on without having the program.

Also don't worry I'm a lot nicer now. I used to be a little prick.

Aaand you may have heard I went loopy on the Pavilion message boards back when I was addicted to ketamine. I'm clean now so don't expect any outbursts of crazy.

I remember you, Rob! I was HyperSonicSpeed back in the day when you were ReallyAwesome. Glad to see you back and doing well.

As for RPG Maker on PC, they just released a new one called RPG Maker MV, which I really liked when I messed with the trial version of the game. As far as games, most people package all the resources that are needed for their games into their game folders, so you shouldn't need the programs to run the games made by PC Makers. So that will include RPG Maker 2000 to the newest RPG Maker MV. I'm not sure on 2000's legality yet, but 2003 is now able to be purchased on Steam and maybe the Enterbrain site(?).

I vaguely remember those names... can't say much more than that, though. Always good to see someone cleaned up, regardless.

Don't forget to be crazy. We all are a little bit.

Hey Rob, long time no see! I'm Ixzion! I used to be RPG2284 back on ezboard! You might remember me!

Good to see you're doing better! I still remember your album "Winter in a Deserted Slum" or something along those lines. You been doing any more music?

Hi guys. Nice to re-meet you.

Of course I remember you Ixzion. Nice layout you've got going on here. Yeah I still make music... I would have to say I've improved greatly since Sunset in a Winter Slum if I do say so myself. I'll let you know when my online portfolio is back up... I just have to finish this one post-rock track and get my mother to translate some stuff into Lo-German for my novella to be finished.

I'll check out RPG Maker MV... What I'm looking for is maximum customization. Would I get what I want? I'll do a little research.
