Dream Course is recorded, but not up yet.

And sure, post your LPs if you want. We're open to everyone. =)

Dude, are you psychic or something? The first part of that goes up this Friday. That's pretty nuts.

Hey MidiGuyDP, welcome to RPGM Magazine! I've seen your anime theme song covers and they're all choice stuff.

If you happen to find any issues with the LP stuff, or anything on the site, let Lantis or myself know. I'm the actual programmer of the site, so if it's technical, I got you covered. ;)

By the way, which race video did you find us from? Just curious.

I believe when I had first discovered you guys, it was during the time you were Racing DKC2. Though it was quite a bit longer before I discovered the site Though it was before it was updated to version it's at right now. (Yeah, I really took my time registering. lol)

Hehe, talk about crazy timing. Though I did see that you were talking about recording that a few posts back. ;)

By the way I really like the cover you guys did for the Duck Tales race. I was actually wondering, do you still have your vocals stuff for that? If so, if it's all right, I would love to try and pitch correct it to the point of a near perfect pitch, and see how you guys would sound. Interested?

Alrighty then, really look forward to the next race! :D

Lantis practically had to beg us to record the woo-oos. So I'm not sure it'd be worth the trouble. =P

Also, not a fan of auto-tuning.

Just wanted to say welcome to the forums Midi! Lantis told me you'd joined, sorry I don't check the forums much.

Hope to see you around!

Also, not a fan of auto-tuning.

Is it more the roboty effect it can give? (E.G. T-Pain)
Or taking in the vocal for how well it was sang, without auto tune?

Which I can get. It's definitely a much bigger achievement to manage to get that perfect pitch without any pitch correction. For me it's one of the hardest things to do when it comes to singing. Though sometimes that slight off key gives it more natural and freedom charm. ^^

I'm just a perfect pitch nut and I like to adjust to get that really precise pitch. Though I actually use a program that gives me control over every note. And it also preserves the natural tone of the voice too, in other words, it doesn't "sound" autotuned (Unless you stray too far from the original pitch)

But anyway, just wanted to see if you'd be interested in hearing version like so. The original version is still a joy to listen to and it gives out a fun charm that probably would be somewhat lost with a pitch correction. ^^ (Just me being a pitch presicion nut. hehe)

Erm... anyway, I went kinda deep there. I can get like that with music sometimes. hehe

Oh and thanks for the welcome Fayorei. :D

EDIT: This is just me trying to stay on topic (Though I am curious), but have you guys ever considered racing fan made games? (User created contend/hacks/mods etc.)

We did race a multiplayer ROM hack of Mario 64. It was super fun but brought with it several technical issues. Luckily most of them were off camera.

Yeah, that last one. Auto-tuning is the cheap way out.

I think it depends. If you are T-paining, yeah. That's lame. You can use autotune to make slight adjustments to what is legit vocals. The key is moderation, yo.

Hey Midi, just wanted to drop by and welcome you to the Mag. I'm glad you enjoy the races and I hope you enjoy the community just as much. I listened to some of your stuff and I have to say I'm impressed. You've definitely got talent. Anyways, back to work/lurking for me.

A little late to the conversation but the "Woo-oos" you guys did for DuckTales were quite a bit more harmonious than the "Se-ga!" chant at the start of Sonic 1. =3

Ah yeah, I had forgotten about that. Though I was more referring to Fan Made content that had stuff like custom levels and the whatnot.

There was also that hack of super Mario RPG that Draygone had prepared to max out the levels, though that was pretty much to speed things up. Do any of you still have that hack by the way? (Would love to try racing along to see how well I'd do. ^^)

I'll admit that when I've done my fandubs I pretty much always made slight adjustments. (Except for the Bink's Sake one.) Though it's always nice when you manage to do it real well without having to make any adjustments, that's for sure. And for me, the only time the T-Pain effect would be appropriate, would be when it's meant to suit the atmosphere of the song (E.g. A song about cyborgs. ^^)

Thanks for comments Kajak. And thanks for the welcome. :)

Hehe, just a thought, but you guys should totally do that harmonious sega part, but rather than saying "Sega", say "Let's Race" ^^ (EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot about the Harmony part on Sonic 1. hehe)

The Sega thing was pretty much decided on the spot. We had more time to prepare for the woo-oos.

Okay, as it stands.  I have a video for this week to upload, but after that, I don't.  I'm hoping I get the files in time, and then I'll at least have something for the next week.  But then we're going to be entirely out.  Ix is going to be gone this weekend.  As such, we COULD race either tomorrow night or thursday night (27th or 28th), but I know how well we are able to set up on short notice... which is not well at all.  As such, we HAVE to record again when he gets back.

So either tuesday or wednesday of next week (2nd or 3rd) is latest I'm comfortable waiting.  The game will be Star Fox (SNES), which won't be a long game, so everyone needs to keep a game in mind they'd pick if they win... because we're going to get together again the next weekend (weekend of the 12th).  I've tried my absolute best to make sure something goes up every friday, and have consistently done so for the past two years.  I'm not really excited about how close we've been getting to being out.

If you can't make any of these dates, then you'll have to sit out.  I want a decent backlog of video content to last us a while so we don't have to scramble like this again.  This is mostly my fault for not pushing us to get together more often.  I'll try not to let it happen again.

Right now, my schedules are too uncertain to plan more than a day ahead. I might be able to record tomorrow, but I won't find out until tomorrow.

I'm good for tomorrow or Thursday night. I'm good for most nights unless something comes up.
