Gave in to the hype and bought/downloaded it this morning. I don't regret it at all.

So Google Docs was way more awesome than I was giving it credit for. In this thread Ix made all the Magic the Gathering cards he created for our community playable through an online MTG game called Cockatrice. We played a round or two and found out that they aren't anywhere near balanced. So Ix, in Google Docs, shared out the zip that has all the cards along with a spreadsheet to Kajak and myself, seeing as we have an... extensive knowledge of the game.



Not only can we all see the same cards and the same spreadsheet, we can all make changes to the document live. We can see the changes all three of us make live, and they even provide a group chat feature for all those who have the document open. Tab flashing and all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a chat. The editor has all the makings of Excel as well. And of course, a way to save the file locally in any spreadsheet format if needed.

I've always kind of passively used Google Docs, but man, this is just super nice. I've been using it a lot more lately. The LP of Seiken Densetsu 3 me, Fay, and Myoky are going through? The saves are on Drive and shared out to us. So are backups of all my Magcast recordings, shared out to Ix. There's even a little shared out text document to all the main racers for the race channel for a suggested list of games, just for funzzies. There's even a client install for Drive so you can just have a folder on your computer that has all your drive items but works like any other folder would in Windows Explorer. I don't really see a lot in using it, but the option is there.

I was talking to someone through their live chat last night just to ask a simple question and got pulled into a long discussion. Sales, man. I ended up just setting it all up myself.

I bought the most recent Mario and Luigi game..and I still haven't beaten it. ><

I won't be around for the next few days after working hours since I need to pack and get things ready to move for this Saturday.
