It's been almost two years since the last set. A lot has happened to the Mag in the interim, including the first time two MagCons took place and the launch of V6. Today, I am happy to announce the 6th version of the ultra-popular Magonian the Gathering card game: V6 - A Mag Reborn (short name, V6)!

This set was originally planned as Magonian the Gathering - MagCon Prime 2013 vs. MagCon West 2013, but it took more time than I thought. Plus I was working on the Mag with all of my free time in order to launch it. Eventually, I launched V6 and the idea came to me to simply blend the 3 MagCons since then, along with the launch into one super set. There are 122 brand-new, never-before-seen cards that are here for you to explore, making this the biggest Magonian the Gathering set ever!

Without further ado, I present:

This is the 6th completely-new set in the hugely-successful Magonian the Gathering line and the tally is as follows:

Really glad to finally get these out. Many weeks were spent creating all these. A lot of the abilities that creatures and spells have directly relate to the person or thing they are named after. So pay attention to them.

Very cool, Ix... just looked through the most recent set, and I love what you did with it.

I'm curious about the "Inept Hotel Manager"... what happened there, did they promise you rooms and then fail to have any available?

Yeah, basically, I reserved the rooms and I made it adamant that I wanted rooms with two queen beds per room. When we got there, they didn't have enough available. So we had to accept another type of room. We made it fine, but it was still a funky experience. We haven't had issues since, though.

Could someone explain the Talkative Old Man? I feel as though that's a new Magcon joke of some sort.

No problem, guys. It was fun trying to figure out actual MTG mechanics for your cards, too.

For instance, Rosser is pretty straight-forward. Get him drunk enough, he becomes way more powerful and intimidating, but has a weaker toughness, making it easier to beat him.

TheXix's card is a clever one after I researched the mechanic Graft. It's basically exactly like picking apart and rebuilding stuff with Legos.



Your card is pretty cool. Since you're an educator, I decided to use it. First off, "Bestow" (like bestowing knowledge, perhaps) lets you grant another creature the abilities that you can do. And since you're a teacher, you can always look in your library (the deck).

I agree. It seems like a lot of thought goes into these. I'd love to see a game played out. I've never played MTG myself, but I ran the cards by a few friends that have, and they think they're really cool. Now I'm interested in learning the system.
