I know the concept of X turning into a villain was already done, but from what I've read that's the only thing I like about this gritty reboot. I'd rather have Mega Man Universe so I can build my own Wily stages-of-death. Hell, I'll even accept another Battle Network, Capcom.

I hope a game like that never comes out. We have enough FPS to water down the genre for years to come. And X took a pretty bad hit to quality just going from 2D to 3D in X7. In fact, the only time it worked was in the Legends series. And they canceled Legends 3.

Not to mention that the gameplay in that video (which probably not even gameplay) was generic as hell. Just run-n-gun, grenades, and a sort of melee QTE kill. Honestly, I think Capcom should just let Megaman go before they dig their grave any deeper.

My gosh, that looked incredibly generic. The only area that looked interesting was the "platforming video", and it probably only looked that way because it was meant to be a concept room and not an actual part of the game. But come on, X's gun was just a generic machine gun. Using regular bullets. I mean, really? I'm glad this got cancelled.
