If you ever book a flight, keep checking the site for the same flight and see if the price has gone down since you purchased your ticket. If it has, call the airline and ask if you can get a refund. You may get a yes or no, but I called United today and I got $78 refunded to my account because the original ticket was $470 but it droped to $392 over a span of a week. So it's nice to check on flights to see if the price has gone down and if you can get money back so you don't pay a lot more than others for the same flight.

Also, compare the price when you just search normally and when you're in incognito mode - some travel sites keep tabs on if you search for the same flight multiple times, and they'll bump up the price.

Also hipmunk is a pretty legit site for searching for flights.

I've been digging the Astro Boy art style lately so I have Kikaider lined up to watch. It was featured on Adult Swim way back and it's pretty cool. Anyone else heard of it? Basically a robot with a conscience. I always loved his design, it's awesome.



Also gonna rewatch Paranoia Agent, that's one of my all time favorites. Super good and super weird.

I've been on an animation kick lately and have been watching some toons. I finished the first season of Sealab 2021 and it's interesting to see how the animation improved after the first five episodes. I guess the animators got a bigger budget because it doesn't look as cheap and poorly edited after episode 5 Then again that was part of the shows appeal. Heard the show jumps the shark in season 3 due to the tragic passing of Captain Murphy's VA.

Also watched a lot of Looney Toons which is awesome and hilarious. I think a lot of people in my age group might look at these old 40's cartoons and scoff at them but I think they're great. And come on, Bugs Bunny is awesome. Come on.

And I think these are great to watch not only for the laughs but because all of these Chuck Jones toons are ripe for critical analasys. These were all hand drawn and the techniques used in them are mind blowing. There's one called Dot and the Line that uses movements and bending of the line to express emotions. Which is pretty f*cking Noice.

For once, I'm glad youtube keeps pushing video recommendations on my feed. I just found the awesomest show that way.
Sadly, it's an australian show and I haven't been able to find another way to watch it (and catch up) thanks to the official page's restricted (by country) videos. Boo.

My vision is not perfect, I have floaters, so glasses are a good thing.
