Last week was a bit crazy for me, but before that I have been managing to keep working out regularly. I just hope this week I'll have enough time to go back.

I've been doing it the other way around: mainly cardio. I didn't go today (Another crazy week at work) but I have been able to push myself harder at the treadmill. Maybe too hard, but I'm finally feeling some progress.

I gotcha. Im sort of the same way, I can only go to the gym about once a week due to work. I believe the important thing is to make those rare moments in the gym count. Keep up the good work, man, I'm definitely going to do more cardio from now on, it has me rejuvenated. Eventually, I'll get back on my diet.

Because of mice, for the past two months we had been eating out a lot more. Not even worth it, really- because I can cook much better than even most sit-down restaurants(not that many are here... actually we went to none of those).

So I weighed in and I was like "HOLY CRAP" sparing the details, and I'm just starting over from scratch. The last time I lost weight, I lost 2-3 pounds a week on a 1300 calorie per day diet and plateaued on that. If you don't know- 1300 a day is dangerous, and a number I came up with without the help of a proper physician or nutritionist. Do not do that. It's basically constricting, which is a branch of an eating disorder.

So... what is worrisome is that even on that, I had problems getting down at one point, and then I got depressed and it was ruined. However, the ability to properly gauge both the caloric and the absolutely important nutrient-values of foods is something I still have. I crave the healthy. So now I can get back on task. I am also going to get tested to see if I have PCOS(aka my hormones going nuts and ruining parts of me) and see about that. It makes it infinitely harder to lose weight, and part of dealing with it is losing weight. So yeah.

I love how this is happening right at MagCon though.:P Oh well, if someone has a problem- I'll sit on em.:D

So I'm actually a little scared right now. I've always been able to maintain between 140-150 lbs, which is still skinny for my height, but it wasn't too bad of a weight. But after I weighed in at the chiropractor, I realized that I need to start shoving my face with food more and exercising a lot more. I weighed in at 133 lbs, which almost puts me at 30 lbs lost since I graduated high school. It's not like I've gone bulimic or anorexic because I love food and I don't starve myself because I think I'm fat. I just don't eat as much as I should apparently, and I haven't worked out at all since October, which is 5 months now. This is not a good position to be in, and is probably a part of why my body is acting up. I'm going to go back to what got me where I was before, and use that to get me higher in weight as I increase intensity. The food part is the hard part. It's just so hard to ingest so much food to help gain weight. But after seeing that, I think it's time to start paying more attention to myself physically.

Weighed myself this morning and discovered an increase in weight!144 lbs is where I am at now which is a lot better than the frustrating 136-139 lbs range I was in during my 2500cal consumption period back in October. But with that weight gain I've also increased my bodyfat by about 2%. Can't worry about that though, it comes with the territory.

BUT! I still need to cut back on all the junk food, go for leaner meats, and veggie to ensure that what I'm gaining will be more muscle than fat. Then again, avoiding veggies is never good, no matter what you're body type is.

Also, Fox, you must have a SUPER crazy fast metabolism. you're definitely gonna have to stuff your face in order to gain. I had the same problem, I'd eat a ton but still not gain more than two pounds. I recommend a mass gainer, try whey over soy. I hear bad things about soy.

So, one of my gym buddies quit some time ago and it's just 2 of us now. After a bit of slacking off (the one who quit was sort of our unofficial trainer) we began making sure we at least went 3 times a week. I'll be studying for 2 weeks in Indiana and I want to make sure I take advantage of my 2 remaining weeks before the trip.

I am now 287.8 pounds. -1.4 over last week. Next week, if I keep going, I will be the lowest weight I've ever been or can remember since I became an adult.

In 2007, I weighed 365 pounds, which was my highest ever weight. I've had trouble over the years finding what's right for me, but I think I've honed it to a point where I'm finally on track and losing weight at about the rate I would like to. That variable exercise and eating have really done wonders.

Since 2007, I've dropped 78 pounds.

I'm in need of new belts. My old ones no longer will fit. Unless I punch holes but then I would have the end a quarter the way around.

Also, this:

Trying to start running again (and I found some kids who will run with me once school starts, so I'd like to get in shape for that). Ran for the first time since like April, just about killed me. I'll definitely have to remember my inhaler from now on.

I had a very long period of apathy/stress, resulting in me negating all of the progress I had made over the past 2-3 months. I'm just now getting back into things. Wish me luck.

Good luck, Bon. I've also suffered a bit of a setback. Two weeks of straight work with near-daily overtime and 1 week of vacation has added many pounds to me that I need to lose again.

I've really got to get in shape. I procrastinate from homework/studying by eating and not actually moving, so I've gained like 5 pounds this week. Gotta get back in it. Plus I'm by far the weakest one in my drumline section right now - we do gauntlets and I'm usually an exercise behind by the end and I'm not even doing them correctly.

It sounds lame, but I've resorted to doing wall pushups because I'm just *that* bad at regular ones. I usually forget to do them, so I've been doing them in the shower: 50 regular, 10 star, and then 100 calf raises. It's not much, but it's what I can do right now. I get my stilts Sunday (hopefully!), so I'm going to try to get in at least an hour a week on those.

I was 476 at the end of last year. My brother wrote up a contract for me to start on a diet regiment with penalties included for going over my calorie limit AND consumption of trigger foods. A few slip ups here and there, but I'm currently sitting at 455, a loss of 21 pounds. Keep praying for me.

Well, with extra time in my hands, I NEED to use it to improve my well being. I'm starting to go back to the gym today.

Good job, Bronanza. I need to get back on track here lately. I've been slacking.

You remember that post last week about getting back on the wagon? Today, I weighed myself and I currently sit at 338 pounds. I was feeling so down because I was once at 290 about a year ago that I was actually about to just sit at my computer and do not exercise. But then I was like "you know what Dave? Yes, this is bad but at least you know and can fix this. You're not going to get back to that place overnight and you know this. You have done it before, you can do it again." So I decided to jog today.

I am so happy that I did. Not only did I jog, I completed my lifetime-first 15-minute mile nonstop. At 12 minutes, my legs were on fire but I had The World's Greatest playing in the headphones and I managed to find that little bit of hope when my back was against the rope, as it were. The final 30 seconds were so strained that I just wanted it to just stop, but I just kept saying "No" to myself over and over and I got past the finish line by sheer willpower. A wave of relief crashed over my body and a powerful sense of accomplishment enveloped my soul.

After that 15 minutes, I went on to walk another 45 minutes to complete the hour and started on my way back to the apartment. Just as I got to my staircase, I said "Nah" and THEN I jogged around the complex for another 15 minutes half up a hill and conquered that challenge, too. Yeah, that's right. I did that 60-minute nonstop jog/walk AND put another 15 minutes on it, making this the longest stretch of cardio I've EVER done in my life, even when I was at 290.

The amount of joy and happiness I feel right now is surreal. I don't even think I can put it into words, but I'll try:

I'M THE WORLD'S GREATEST!
