We've been having a bit of a debate regarding the rules for our fifth Let's Race (Super Mario World). Which is why, we need your help.

From Vanilla Dome 1, there are two possible paths you can take:
If you take the left route, you could bypass Castle #3 and do a fortress instead.
If you take the right route, you would have to do Castle #3.

One person is suggesting we all do Castle #3, but I say whatever route we take should be optional. What do you think?

You should be able to take alternate routes in my opinion

personally I think we should do castle 3, just doesnt feel right for some odd reason. however I will do whatever.

The fun in the game is taking optional routes or not so commonly used routes. You'll all get the same place and do about the same amount of work. I don't see why there's any objection. It's like saying in a Sonic race, you can only take one route through each level.

yes we are taking alternative route but just for that one little section ok let me put the rules up

1) No Star Road
2) Front door to bowser
3) Flying for half the level (or checkpoint) is not allowed (if you have a blue yoshi then that rule is out the window)
4) You can do shortcuts as long as its connecting path
5) You can skip switch palaces

Just the whole debate is if we should defeat all 7 koopalings as well as Bowser.

My opinion still stands it doesnt feel right skipping it however if we go with the other choice its fine by me too.

I feel we should be able to since there is the same amount of levels each way except there is a reznor castle instead of castle #3

Is it really wise to do a race of Super Mario World at the exact same time as the rest of us? You've already had some drama with people just from a few similarities with our races.

If I remember correctly, we decided on Super Mario World as our fifth race before I even knew that Ixzion was going to pick that game. Also, we are not scheduled to record this race until at least next week.
