I didn't wanna buy a new game, but after it dominating the media so much... now I'm sad I can't just go out and get it.

Amazon is sold out really... Gamestop is too apparently. I had no idea this would be Xeno-esque in availability for the time being- there has been a shipment delay til like the 10th for most stores. I kind of think they want to promote the eShop, so this is half on purpose. I prefer actually owning a physical game though. Man. I don't wanna caveeeee I can't. I seriously wish that companies would stop botching releases like this though, Nintendo included. A good idea for western releases of games is to actually have enough to satisfy demand.

Lantis hasn't played a Fire Emblem game before... we should shun him.

Also, I WOULD get this game, but I lack a 3DS and the funds to get one. My reasons for wanting a 3DS grows by the day, and I fear that by the time I get one, I'll either forget about all the games I need to get, or I won't be able to find the games anywhere.

I haven't played it either but the permadeath always interested me. I really need to get a 3DS these days.

I got the game! I got it from the eShop(and now have a larger SDHC card in the 3DS, which I formatted fresh prior to putting it on there for maximum-not-having-problems). While it's fun to speculate OH NO WHERE ARE THE SHIPMENTS... the art book only came with a Gamestop pre-order, and it's rinky-dink compared to... just about every other art book out there.

Art books need to be books of strength darnit! It's hilarious I called it'd be a pamphlet one though.

And the game manual is also probably pretty... not there. We're also probably going to get another copy later to jam the local mode beat-em-up-together stuff. Shame two tacticians can't have an overpowered child to SLAY THEM ALLLL. That's when a physical copy- just one- is just fine. I highly believe the paranoia from GameFAQs and other forums that "NINTENDO DID THIS ON PURPOSE" is pretty unfounded, mainly because the western part of the country was having less problems on the whole. For those not in the know, there have been some huge snow chains and ice storms pounding on the other half this past week or so... and I know on more than one day, my UPS tracking stuff was like "Yeah no. Icestorm. I ain't driving that. You want your stuff so bad? You drive that. Crap, man."

That being said, I am one of THOSE people who has to make sure I read some basic info first. Also, I can't remember who it was who is also like "I can't have a character dieeeee", but I'll probably be going the casual route of just knockouts. I can't handle someone just dying off permanently.

My stance when playing the FE games is typically that if a character dies, I reset the game and try the level again. Unless of course, I didn't really like the character and was forced to use them for some reason.
