Adult Swim's YT channel just released the banned Dexter's Laboratory episode entitled Rude Removal, which was only shown at a convention back in 1998:

I was watching the shizstorm on /co/ when it aired. People were so mad because it wasn't what they expected it to be.

Those people have been waiting to see this short since that convention in 1998, and over the past decade, a huge mythos has grown around it, and basically, the myth became bigger than the episode itself. People were so mad that the episode was "censored" even though the bleeps were there the entire time.

Give a dog a bone, and they will bite your leg off. Well, certain fandoms will anyways.

I was a huge Dexter fan. I think it's among the few shows I didn't mind watching in Spanish.

HAHAHA! HA HAHA HAHA!

And, right up front, a mooning and a middle finger. Going into this, I figured there was probably the usual "parental over-reacting".  Totally not the case.

I stopped watching it halfway. I'm not disappointed by the beeps it's just that I've seen better Dexter episodes. DeeDee giving the middle finger was hilarious though. Man, the animation in Dexter's Lab was great before that last atrocious season.

Wait. When did Deedee give the middle finger? I watched it over twice.

Also, she has no middle finger. Everyone in that show only has four fingers.

And even if she had 5 fingers it'd be her ring finger based on the hand she was using.

Someone needs to time stamp that moment.... I'm not seeing it.

Adult Swim has been really lousy lately. It was at it's peak when they had Trigun, Frisky Dingo, Ghost In The Shell, etc. Perhaps it's a nostalgia thing but right know I think their line of anime is bad and their live action stuff I have no interest in.

When I think of Adult Swim, I think of nights when bumps like these would show up.

Actually, if you don't include the thumb as a finger, their middle finger is more literal than ours. We happen to have two of 'em. The one we call a middle finger just happened to win the coin toss. =P

I liked it. Guess it was just too much 15 years ago.
